I understand that BoG is counter service for lunch and table service for dinner. My question may be totally stupid, but do you need a reservation for lunch? If not, is it fairly easy to get into for lunch? What are the reviews for lunch food over dinner? Thanks for your feedback!

You do not need a reservation for lunch.

Reports have been that the line is very long at the beginning of lunch service time. You might have a shorter line in you go closer to the end of lunch (2 or 2:30, I don't remember.)

We went on May 22nd at 1:00pm. We were seated within 15 minutes even though the line stretched over the bridge.

Lunch is served from 10:30am until 2:30pm. You should be in line no later than 1:45pm to be guaranteed seating.

We got in line at 10:25 and were seated and served our meals by 11:15. The early line moves fast as they can seat many people once it opens. Once all tables are filled, the line moves only as people finish eating and leave. We had lunch and dinner at BOG and actually enjoyed our lunch meal better, altho the kids loved posing with the Beast at dinner.
