My family and I just returned from Disney and we were lucky enough to get reservations for Be Our Guest. While the structure is beautiful and the dining room huge, the service and food was average at best.

My son ordered chicken and pasta. The pasta was ice cold and had to be sent back. My other son ordered the kids steak and let's just say was not the best.

I had a salad and it had so much dressing (really drenched) I had to send it back. I had the hen and it was OK, a bit bland. My wife had the pork chop and she did like this.

Little things like not clearing dirty bread and salad dishes were not done.

We had great meals at other restaurants (Brown Derby, Narcoosies, Yachtsman, and the Asian restaurant where they cook in front of you (I forgot the name), but was disappointed at the service and overall experience.

It was not bad or terrible, just not nearly as good as we expected. Just my opinion, so please no bashers!

Sorry you had a bad experience. I have read many reviews of poor service.

To be honest, I think it is always the case when a place is built up so much that the reality very rarely lives up to the hype. I think, despite, the mixed reviews, we may well try it once just because but I am going to go in with low(ish) expectations and hope that it can at least live up to those ;)

We were also disappointed with dinner. We found lunch to be much better.
At dinner my Cornish Hen was dry. My daughter's steak had too much gristle so she wouldn't eat it. My husband was not impressed with his steak - said what we make at home was better. His fries were way too salty so he sent those back.

The cold food issues really seem to be persisting there despite having had plenty of time by now to work out the kinks. I was unable to book an ADR for dinner at my 180+10, despite getting up at 4 am my time, and I think I am at peace with it after all the mediocre reviews. We shall eat lunch and see the beautiful inside and keep expectations of it being just typical CS food and all will be fine. ;)

Thanks for the review.
