After trying unsuccessfully to get a dinner reservation -I ended up with lunch last week. It was awesome. I felt like I was inside the cartoon drawings!

When we arrived, the line stretched out across the bridge about to where the menu is posted. A CM told me that the wait would be about 30 minutes so we waited.

The ordering process went relatively smoothly. They had several self-serve kiosks and 2 attended by CM's. I can't recall if the self-serve ones accepted cash or not (we were on DDP). You basically get a touch screen menu and just tap on a picture of what you want. The only thing I found a little confusing was that they give you this plastic rose (that is some sort of GPS they use to find where you are sitting to deliver your food). You have to touch the rose to the screen, then insert your card. I couldn't figure out where to touch, but a CM was right there and jumped in so I don;t know if I'd had a minute to review the screen if I'd be able to have figured it out or not on my own.

There are 3 rooms to choose from, the largest being the ballroom, then the west wing and the 3rd was what I think they call the Rose room(??). All 3 had their own charm. I think if I had to do it over I would go to the West Wing.

Within minutes of ordering, the food arrived at the table we selected on a push cart. This was definitely a step up from your standard theme park fare (not a burger or hot dog in sight!). I had the braised pork and my friend had the quinoa salad. The food is served on real (glass) plates and with real silverware. The strawberrry cupcake for dessert was phenomenal.

I don't think it's clear from the ordering process that you need to get your own silverware and drink though. Not complaining about this - just didn't know. When my food arrived, I asked if someone was bringing the drink separately and she pointed to the beverage area. Then I mentioned the silverware and she went into a drawer on her cart and got me a set which leads me to believe I'm not the only one who didn't realize this.

All in all - a wonderful experience.

Hi SJW,

Thanks for the review. I am curious as to what time of day you went and how crowded it was. Did you have any issues finding a seat?

We tried to get in three days last week. First day we didn't have the time to wait. Second time it was closed and third day there was an hour wait! Glad to read your review :). That's one if many things I can't wait to try once everything's open!
