It doesn't seem to be necessary no. I just used my usual Disney login and it picked up my hotel reservation details automatically from the My Disney Experience account and showed me our party names and the seven valid days from the start of our stay.

Of course, I couldn't actually book anything, as availability currently stops after 7 July, so it's all a bit of a moot point at the moment.

TC, here. The BOG website still won't even log me in...same error message as I posted a few days ago. I used to be able to get into the site and see my eligible days and the message nothing was available for end of July, but now I can not get that far....

I just successfully logged-in to the BOG lunch website, so it seems to still be up and running. However, since my trip is at the end of August, the dates aren't open yet, so I get the same "not available - pick a different date" as everyone else.

I've been trying to snag this FP for two months now. I've gotten an email invite, but my preferred date is July 9th, so I'm shut out.

I check the site 3,4,5 times a day - and have been doing so since May. Call it overkill, but I'll own the fact that I'm a BOG stalker.

Anywhooooo, a few days ago I noticed a type font change. The screen that has our family names is typed differently. The font size has changed - it's slightly bigger and thinner. I know it seems weird that I would notice this, but I've been looking at this screen for months now. I logged on a few days ago and immediately noticed a change.
So, of course, the conspiracy theorist in me is sure there is something thuper-thneaky going on. Ha!

I sooooo hope you are right! My trip isn't until September and I find myself checking it a couple times a day

There is no chance you have started using a different browser??? I know when I use Firefox or IE it looks large and totally different than when I use Google Chrome. (I hope not but thought I would ask)

Eesh, I hope this option is still available for my trip in November. I'm counting on it since so far I haven't had any luck snagging a dinner reservation.

Ok, this is driving me crazy.. I used to be able to log in and see our available dates but when I try with my email or my DH's that are attached to the reservations this is the message I get no matter what browser I use or computer or tablet.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Please stop by the Magic Kingdom® Service Center as soon as you arrive to the park for assistance logging in to the website or selecting an arrival window and preordering your meal.

I was never able to actually select any days for our end of July trip so I am keeping fingers crossed that it is now a day of check in log in thing.

Apparently they have not opened up any dates past July 7th (read back a few pages on this post). The question is "will they continue to open up further dates in batches like before, or are they completely changing the system for BOG lunch?" Only time will tell.

She said as of now, through email before or while you are there, is the only way you can book now. Not sure what she meant exactly because people have already received emails and are unable to book. "Too many people using it" is just her and her co-worker's interpretation of the situation. Yes, it is in testing phase and many, many folks were/are getting in who were not invited, but from a software developer's standpoint that is a bonus to shake out the issues. The restaurant could only book FPs for slots they had deemed open. Overbooking would be impossible unless they created too many slots. I'm more likely to believe it's being developed properly. Too many bugs.

My opinion: I'd like to see this implemented for everyone, but with only 24 hours advance booking. Same for the ride FPs.

Absolutely, I said that from the start. I'd have suggested day-before for casual guests, and perhaps up to 7 days for hotel guests and AP holders. But 60 days is almost as stupid as 180 days for restaurant bookings.

There isn't much of any way it can make you pay a fee as you don't have to use a credit card to hold the reservations like you do with a table ADR. this is a Fast Pass, not a typical dining reservation

And even if you are on the dining plan you are never required to use a credit for a meal. You can always opt to pay OOP. So I can't see how it would deduct a credit on that either.

As one of many who have been unable to snag BOG reservations because I was not booked at a resort 190 days out, I am really hoping for BOG lunch fastpass. Also not going until September but still trying every day - and then some.

For what it's worth, we went last September and waited about 30 minutes in line to get in -- so not too bad.

Yeah I've yet to hear of any new BOG lunch FP snags. I cry Shenanigans on the whole thing. I say, show up early, get in line and wait. Lines weren't even that bad right at 10:30 am in May.
