Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

Hey, I don't know if this was posted. But I just got dinner reservations to BOG, on Nov 4th. There are times listed for the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th. I didn't check after that, I got a 7PM time slot, so I'm super stoked!:cheer2:

You must have gotten lucky because I do not see anything for dinner those dates. We got lunch this go around.

I went and looked an there is a 7:05 on Nov 2nd right now!! If I did not have the wishes dessert party I would grab it!

Go get it someone!!:cool1:

After stalking the dinner reservations morning and night since May (how many times can you hit refresh in a minute!!)

I was over the moon today when I managed to secure a dinner slot for our final night at WDW...

BOG followed by FP+ viewing for both the Parade and Fireworks...

.... a MAGICAL way to close out our holiday

Yeah for you. If I may offer a suggestion regarding the FP+ selection...

Do I understand correctly that you have a FP+ for both the Main Street electrical parade viewing area and then a separate Fp+ for the rose garden viewing area for the fireworks? If so, I personally would switch the rose garden viewing for the fireworks to something else earlier in the day. The rose garden viewing area is lovely and is fantastic to view the fireworks but in my opinion it is unnecessary when you have the FP+ for the Main Street electrical parade. That is because the Main Street electrical parade viewing is directly in front of and facing the castle (it is the interior circle on the top of Main Street closest to the castle). When the parade is over, the CMs drop the parade ropes (including the ropes distinguishing the Fp+ reserved area for the parade). However, you can simply stay put in that same spot for wishes and the fireworks. So essentially you have the best viewing for both the parade and fireworks all wrapped up in one FP. Now, if you didn't get the parade FP+, then getting the fireworks viewing in the rose garden is great. You can spread out on the grass, etc., but you are little to the side and there is a tree that you need to look around depending on where you sit in order to view wishes. Although Tinker bell does fly directly over your head there in the garden. In my opinion, if you like the parade and fireworks, the Main Street electrical parade FP+ is the absolute best one out there.

Enjoy your trip.

Is it better (faster) to order food in advance?

Also, if I order food for the family and someone would like something different, is it a problem to change it when we arrive? We are surprising the kids so they won't have the opportunity to view the menu if I pre-select for them.

And last, I have a print-out of my confirmation. Is this all I need to bring, and an ID when I check in?

Thank you for your help :)

We really enjoyed pre-ordering the food, as it was really cool and magical to go directly to a table and have our order "find" us. But, we did make it a family activity to each choose our meals online, so if you're expecting to make changes, it might be better to wait and order there.

You don't necessarily need the printout, but yes, that's all you need (or can) bring with you. They will likely just look you up by the last name on your BOG FP+.

Thank you so much for the invaluable advice :)

Correct, the BoG Lunch booking system is a completely separate site and not connected at all to My Disney Experience. You create a new account there which is nothing to do with your MDE/disney.com accounts, and attach the same reservation number (that you may have also used in MDE, but that doesn't matter) to it.

Andre

So does the second MDE account actually need to be linked to the reservation number you're planning to use?

I have two rooms with two different reservation numbers, both booked under my account. My wife and I are in the first room, and our three kids are in the second. I've been able to log into the Be Our Guest reservation booking site through my account with our first reservation number and have seen FP+ options for my wife and I. To make reservations for our kids, I set up a second account and attempted to link the second reservation number to that account, but I keep receiving an error message that the reservation was made by my daughter (she's the first person listed in the second room) and is already linked to another (my) account.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Or is it not even necessary to link the reservation to the second account? Is it sufficient just to have a second account and the reservation number for the second room?

Thanks!

the BOG FP+ is not connected in anyway to MDE, you should be able to make a 2nd FP+ using your daughter's Disney e-mail address/log in and the resort reservation for that room. I made one for my family and my sisters room last year, used 2 different browsers and was able to get overlapping times

the FAQ on the first page of this thread has tips, etc.

How far out are people able to book right now? Are we still at 27 confirmed?

I'm 28 today and I cannot book yet...

Oh no! Are there problems again across the board or is this just a one-off.? Did you get the email? Are you able to log in/create.?

You book at 27 days, not 28. So, no. Nothing is wrong. They were answering the person above that it was still limited to 27 days out.

I apologize in advance if this has already been mentioned on the thread...

I was just listening to WDW Today's show from Wed. and Len Testa said that he heard that BOG FP+ would be changed to one of your three regular FP+ around the middle of November (he said it was supposed to be OCt 31 then got bumped back for some reason) and that you would make the FP+ reservation on MDE just like a regular attraction. If that is the case, I wonder if people reserving just inside the 27 day window might start having trouble again soon....

That doesn't sound great for those of us waiting for a late Nov or early Dec FP+!! Crossing my fingers....

I'm not liking the sound of that! It took some work to get the Fastpass selection that I wanted. Now I'd have to change for a BOG reservation? I guess it's becoming a place where you can't have it all! Hoping that it doesn't change.
