I have an ADR for BOG dinner and I really want to enjoy the atmosphere and a nice steak. Unfortunately after looking over their Dinner menu I don't see a single meal my teenage daughter will eat.

We have the DDP, I'd hate to waste a TS credit on a Grilled Cheese, but would that be possible if she wanted to order it off the Kid's menu?

Has anyone requested a serious modification to one of the offered meals? She would probably enjoy the Chicken Breast (plain, no sauce or veggies) but would prefer the Au Gratin Macaroni instead of the Fingerling Potatoes. :sad2:

If your daughter does opt to order from the children's menu, you could always pay OOP for her meal and save the TS credit for somewhere else. Otherwise, most Disney owned venues allow adults to order from the kids menu. *Some places with increase the portion size and cost to be comparable to an adult meal (I've read, double the portion, double the cost, but I've not tried this, so I don't know for sure).

In terms of substituting au gratin macaroni for the fingerling potatoes, that's probably okay. Both are sides offered with an entree and most Disney restaurants will allow you to substitute one side for another (substituting sides with their own price points are not allowed).

My DD has sensory issues that contribute to her being a very picky eater. I've always found WDW TS restaurants to be very accommodating. We've had sauces and seasonings left off. Side dishes were substituted. And alternate desserts have been offered.

It shouldn't be a problem for your DD to order off the kids' menu if she'd prefer something from there.

In theory, its a good idea. But what are they going to do with a single TS credit leftover? Will they send her off to eat by herself? That might be difficult.
OP, I wouldnt worry about it. Disney restaurants have been pretty accommodating. As long as they have what your DD likes, they will (or should be able to) make it for her. The only problem you will run into is if you ask for something they dont have such as chicken nuggets.

You said she will eat chicken breast plain, will she eat plain pasta with butter?

The OP didn't list all of her other dining plans, so I don't know if they've got any OOP meals planned. Having a mix of OOP and DDP meals is not an uncommon occurrence, to it's usually worth mentioning you can split payment methods.

My DS 12 is also a picky eater, we had no problem ordering the chicken breast plain and the pasta with the sauce on the side from the kids menu. They were very accomidating. We were on the Dining Plan but paid OOP for his meal and used the extra TS for a character breakfast he wanted to do.
