Just left the MK where my DH and I ate at BOG for the first time. All I can say is AMAZING!!! We felt like it was one of the best meals we have ever had at WDW, and we've had many. We were seated in the Rose Room. Kind of glad because it seemed much quieter. My DH had the grilled strip steak, which he said was very good, maybe even as good as his steak at Shula's about 3 years ago. (We are going to Shula's tomorrow night so he will be able to better compare them.) I had the shrimp and scallops. I especially enjoyed the scallops, probably the best I've EVER had. Service was very good, too. Our only complaint was the dessert. I had the strawberry cream cheese cupcake, and my DH had the grey stuff. These were very inexpensive desserts, and it showed. For the amazing entrees we had just had, the desserts were kind of a letdown. If we eat there again (in fact, I was online before we even left trying to get an ADR for our June trip!), we will skip dessert and get a Dole Whip Float instead.

thanks for your BOG review...so many likes and dislikes...glad to have a new review on these items

Well it's the last night of our trip. For me, BOG was still the best meal! In fact, I just had scallops at Flying Fish, and I have to say the scallops at BOG were MUCH, MUCH better. My DH said his steak at Shula's was actually better than the one he had at BOG, but he was very pleased with BOG and wants to eat there again. I hope to try it with the rest of my family in June. But there are no ADRs for our MK night. Wish us some pixie dust!

My BOG dinner in April was the best dinner I've ever had at WDW too. I had th lamb chops, best lamb I've ever had anywhere. Totally agree with the desserts too. Strange to,have such amazing food, then a cupcake for dessert... I only asked for a sample of the grey stuff to try it. Although it was interesting, so glad I didn't have to pay for it, or eat a full serving of it...

We loved our late, late dinner at BOG last weekend. We had 3 kids ages 10-13 who were able to order kids meals (one steak, one mahi mahi, and one grilled cheese ;) and they were the best meals the kids ate all week. Pricing was slightly different as drinks and desserts are charged separately for those over 9, but everything was pro-rated and came out to about $12 per kid. It was 11pm, so the adults mostly had soups or salads, which were also excellent, and dessert. I highly recommend the triple chocolate cupcake. The other desserts we tried were all so-so. We also got to meet the Beast after dinner (even though our reservation said characters would not be available during our dining time). The experience was outstanding, especially for the cost. Most places we paid adult prices for the kids to order chicken nuggets--this might be the only time their meals were worth more than we paid for them!
