Can you let us know what was wrong with the lamb? I have a ressie here for the Fall & that was the entree I was looking at. I can get a decent strip steak anywhere but lamb is a novelty. No flavour? Small portion? Overcooked/undercooked? All of the above? Thanks.

So glad you enjoyed your dinner! I love seeing positive reviews of BOG; we've had dinner there 5x and just made an ADR this morning for dinner there again on our Nov. trip It's one of our favorite TS restaurants and we've never had a bad meal or bad service there. We've had quite a few entrees between the 4 of us and all were good! DH did like the lamb, maybe it just wasn't your DH's thing? Or it was an off night, but if you do go again I highly suggest the steak, it is AMAZING. DS9 gets that every time (off the regular menu, no kids menu for him lol) and I usually get it, also. DH is a huge fan of the puff pastry too, and older DS gets 2 orders of the mussels for his entrée.
I like their French onion soup, but last month I finally tried the potato leek and it's my new favorite app AND, I know I keep going on about the food, but I agree with you about the strawberry cupcake-I kind of wish they had some more dessert choices but that thing is so delicious, it's ok lol. Also the dinner "grey stuff", not so good on the chocolate bar. I got some free once for my birthday and last month on our anniversary but it was just the mousse which was good by itself; the one time we went for lunch I got the Master's cupcake, and thought that was much better than the cookie bar at dinner.
You really can't beat the theming at all! My favorite room happens to be the West Wing, while older DS likes watching the snow in the ballroom. I hope you manage to snag another ADR for BOG on your next trip, and thanks for sharing your experience

The coal mine shift has ended and grumpy has arrived home so I asked:

Apparently if you're an aficionado of meat specifically lamb you like just the meat prepared the way that it is. He consistently compares it to Texas de Brazil which just salts the meat without drowning the flavor.

Apparently the sauce that the lamb is presented in and the mustard like substance that it comes with as well just didn't sit with him the right way.

He said he'd prefer if the sauce was more to the side instead of right in it - also he said that it wasn't cooked the way he liked it. Just overall dissapoijte for with it mostly being the sauce as the culprit.

...and my chicken was awesome

have been lucky enought to do this twice and have snagged a adr for my wifes birthday next time, no one has had a bad meal here, the lamb last time was superb, service was great first time round, ok 2nd time, a must do if you can get a adr

Also if you can take a photo where we did its the middle table and I love the photo we got the actual table we got was against the wall and not too comfortable ;/ but you were free to roam around which was AWESOME

OMG you're right. I went back and looked at the photos. The two of you in the middle of the ballroom is fantastic. Now I can see the wall on your other photos. Question: did you kick out the people sitting there (middle table) for your photo op? ;-)

Muscles
DH said overall the muscles were serviceable, he's a big seafood eater and has high standards so I was just happy he ate them all, again he said that he enjoyed them, however did not rave about them.

I love your review but I did get a chuckle out of this - the seafood you eat is mussels; those things on your body are muscles. Thanks for the review and photos. And, congrats on your engagement!

I wasn't planning on eating at BOG for our November trip, I thought I'd give it a try if I was able to snag a lunch ressie but I didn't want to be disappointed so I hadn't planned on it. Well today I got a lunch reservation and now I'm just super excited. This review has just upped my excitement level.

We had lunch there last week. The inside is simply amazing! Food was excellent and I love how they bring the food out. Plus it is a "quick service" where your food is brought to you and you get real China and utensils instead of paper and plastic. We had the French onion soup, croque Monsieurs, carved turkey sandwich (both kid and adult versions). Plus the Masters cupcake, strawberry cream cheese & lemon cupcakes. All good - we each had our favorites (mine was the Lemon cupcake,) even the fries were better. Very nice break from heat of the day to sit in such pretty surroundings and eat. Serving sizes are generous- my oldest had French onion soup and was supposed to split the croque Monsieur sandwich with me- she was full after just the soup and a few bites of cupcake. Would definitely do this one again.

I was on the fence about it from the MANY different reviews I read. I figured I would try and get an ADR for the heck of it and I managed to snag one on our final night of the trip in December. I am so glad I did! I have been wanting to try it since I heard it was going to exist.

FYI at lunch you get to choose where you sit. My mother and I dined at BOG last year and I really enjoyed it as well. My choice was the braised pork and it was very good especially by WDW standards. I'm with you on the grey stuff - it was okay but I am not the biggest icing/frosting fan anyway. It's worth a try - I was sorry I didn't see the Beast at lunch.

Yeah Beast is only out at diner time which is another reason why I picked diner
