Be creative, the sky is the limit, new restaurants!

I'd love to see a resturaunt in the Asia section of AK that serves Indian food. Also, I love the ToT idea (but how about us ToT wimps-how do we get up there?)

The chicken exit of shame.

I know these kind of threads are fun :rotfl2: On another site like this (a planet with a mouse...) we have quite some threads about "what would you change to DCA" or "new rides for DL" and those always give great ideas. I think Disney could have less Imagineers if only they read more of these message boards, all the ideas are right here! And since they come from the people that would be paying customer, it's going to be a success with at least the person that came up with it ;) (oh, and the money Disney saves on Imagineers could be spent on the restaurant, ride, show, whatever!)

Another thing I would once like to see (preferably at DLP since then I could enjoy it more...) is a Beauty and the Beast "be our guest" dinner. Wouldn't it be nice to have an adult-only fine dining experience, followed by a ball (opening dance done by the Beast-as-prince (no idea what his name is) and Belle) in the Beast's ballroom? Served a dinner like the one from "Be our Guest"? It could give us, ladies who pretend to be an adult :rolleyes2: , an opportunity to "dress up as a princess" without being looked at as really freaks/ weirdos. (unfortunately, as a pretend-to-be-an-adult, you can't walk around the park dressed like a princess.
They shouldn't do this every night, but for example, once a month. Every first Saturday evening of the month, ball at the Beast's joint! For the rest of the month, the Beast could lease his ballroom to the other princesses, so that they could leave Norway for their meals (what are princesses doing in Norway anyways??? That's not a country-with-a-history-worth-of-princesses! They have a former model-and-drug-using someone as princess there  Germany would be a better option, at least they had Elisabeth who became Empress "Sisi" !, or even France, though there princesses and queens ended up without a head thanks to the guillotine. England has/ had glamour princesses. But Norway??? The country where it's always cold and where they have trolls????)

Ah, but there is a difference between coming up with ideas about what you'd like (which is something that a lot of folks here are good at), and coming up with ideas about what everyone would like -- THAT'S what the imagineers are good at.

And since they come from the people that would be paying customer, it's going to be a success with at least the person that came up with it ;)
They could steal the US Army's slogan: "An audience of one!" :rotfl:

They didn't do a good job with that at DCA at DLR and WDS at DLRP... :(

My vote for a Villians meal and something Pirate themed.
I also wish Disney had a either a Cold Stone Creamery type place or a Gelato Shop like at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. That place is awesome.
And a good "Jewish-style" Deli would be great too.

Disney should put in a Milwaukee Joe's (for anyone who wants excellent ice cream and sorbet), now that would be a great addition!

We would also love to see another fine dining restaurant with great wine pairings...and we definately need a Hook's Cellar like at DL hotel in CA. We had a blast with the wine tastings there...WDW needs a place like that for sure.

How about a new dinner show on property in the genre of Medievial times. Eat w. no hands, big show........Maybe have a pirate theme with Jack and Barbosa......I don't usually have a car while I am there so kind of tied to the property. However I would not mind doing something like this. I know there is Hoop de Do. Cute. But I like the pagentry themeing of ME and Dixie Stampede

I also think a POC type dinner show would be nice. Except instead of the basic dinner arena, make the middle 1/2 water 1/2 land and include some aquatic theatrics. Talk about a dinner drama. A full blown out pirate ship war with rotisserie chicken!

If the pirate thing is not for you then have a Star Wars Dinner show. Imagine chowing down on some coke and biscuits while Anakin and OBi go at it!

:rolleyes2 If only I was the Disney CEO ... What could be!

I know they would never split a restrasunts theme/food; but I would like to see the American Adventure at Epcot changed to "TASTES OF AMERICA". My plan would be have a certain night be food from a certain area or region. For Example say Sundays and Thursday could be 'eastern flair' with say maybe food prevelent to northeast--anything from Maine lobsters , to Philadelphia Cheesesteaks. Monday and Fridays could be a "taste of the South" with Maybe southern Barb-Q cooking, to fried Chicken. Tuesdays and Saturday's could be "'a midwest Experience" with say anything from Chicago deep-dish pizza to knockwust/sausage from Wisconsin. Finally Wedsnesday could be 'the western Journey" with say fine wine and food from california, to maybe salmon/seafood from Seattle. Just A thought but I think they could represent American food better then they do at the american adventure. :stir:

"The Wonderful World of Disney: Past, Present, and Future". A fine dinning joint in what was the "Time Keeper". It would show clips of attractions from the various parks, both past and present. It would also show "progress reports" of upcoming events and rides. The menu would be a selection of past favorites from other places. The decorations would be the "retro-future" look of Toomorow land from DisneyLand when it opened.

OK, I'll go first.
I think it could be great to have a restaurant on the top floor of the Tower of Terror, in the style of the attraction (twenties? thirties? whatever...) You take up an elevator, and then have a dinner served with a view of (what can you actually see from up there?)

I like that one!

I'd like to see a 'progressive' restaurant in Animal Kingdom - maybe called Grazing Around the Planet or something animal-y.

Have special eating places in each of the world areas with a special card purchased flat rate at the front of the park, with a series of small-portioned courses around the park - appetiser, soup, first entree, second entree, cheese/fruit course, dessert for example.

So for example, take your card to Asia which would have the appetizers - choose an appetizer, clip the appetizer square on your card, sit and enjoy the small portion, and then be on your way. Go to Africa for some soup. Etc.

This would have several benefits:

1. You would be able to taste a range of world cuisine in one 'meal.'
2. You wouldn't have to eat a huge meal at once - you could have your appetizer around noon, and literally 'graze' through the afternoon/evening as the mood takes you.
3. The frequency of small stops in air conditioned areas would provide short refreshing sitting breaks during the hot summer.
4. Set prices mean one less factor to add into making choices - and I'm all for easier choices.
5. A clip card could mean you could eat your courses in whatever order you liked without feeling 'odd' (dessert first anyone?)
5. The dessert choice could be smores around a campfire at Camp Minnie Mickey!

:)

Villians Character Meal

I know they once had one and shut it down because little kids were scared. I think they should bring it back with a clearly posted rating (something like PG6 - characters could be scary to younger children). There's really nothing out there which is appealing to boys, older kids, and even adults the way this one would be.
yes a villian meal would be great my kids would love this.

Actually, we like DCA. There's always room for improvement, but even Disneyland wasn't complete either when it first opened. The problem with DCA and WDS isn't the imagineer's lack of ideas, but rather Disney's cutbacks on budgets. Hopefully they have learned their lesson.

We went to a Villains character meal at 1900 park Fare. The Villains did not frighten the kids, the problem was the kids hated the villains and wanted to kick them in the shins.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao:
This sounds like something my DD5 would do!!

I really like that graze around AK idea, and also the timekeeper idea!

And what about a "safari picknick" at AK??
You eat a picknick in between teh animals (and hope Simba doesn't eat you for lunch! :rotfl2: )

a top notch thai restaurant would be good... maybe a full service restaurant in asia in the animal kingdom. I would want them to pull it out and do it proprely - none of this pandering to sensitive palates.

Hehe.... That's one sure way of being able to getting seated anytime we want, without an ADR! :rotfl:

I doubt Disney would deliberately open a restaurant that would be that unprofitable. I know Landry's won't!!!!
