I'm always looking for refills on drinks during dinner. I would have been in heaven with that big bucket!

Our CM (can't remember his name) actually sat down and ate with us for awhile (after hauling over all that ketchup, he needed a break). When he brought the check to my DH, he explained to my DDs that if their daddy couldn't write, he could simply sign with an X and that would be acceptable!

Nope, our CM was Al, just Al. He had braces on and we were running him ragged! It was so hilarious.

Last I heard, Jolly Rancher Charles had moved on and is no longer at the Canyon.

I'm planning my next trip in Jan and looking for somewhere new to eat. This looks awsome. My friend will adore it. We are theatre people and love roudy restaurants. Her husband is sooooooo shy, must embarass him. What else do they do there? This is the first I have heard of it!

OOhh, perfect! DH always slurps down his Diet Cokes and kkeps the waiters running! If I tell the waiter that DH is thirsty & needs a Extra Large Diet Coke, will they bring the bucket? Can I do this without DH catching on to what is about to happen? What is the average price on the entrees for lunch? We're going next week and I can't wait to try something new!!

OK... this is what I told our waiter after he brought out our initial drinks:

me: you know, I just want to save you wear and tear, but could you just bring out some larger drinks? With these canning jars, you'll be running back and forth just bringing us refills.
waiter: you want more drinks?
me: yes... probably 3 or 4 more of these jars.
waiter: ok, I see (winks) I'll see what we can come up with.

5 minutes later, he comes with another guy and in great voice and tone says:

OK listen up everyone in the room. This table here says they're real thirsty. So we're giving them our biggest drink in the house. I'm warning all of you... STAY OUT OF THE BATHROOMS WHEN YOU SEE THEM COMING!!!!

Then they plop down our buckets! What a hoot!

LOL!! I have done the same thing in other restaurants to DH before so he'll never see it coming! (They only brought out a regular size pitcher, of course) Too funny! This will be priceless! Now, I have to convice DH we HAVE to eat at Whispering Canyon...I've heard they have great burgers.

They have great ribs and the DH swears by the beans (another reason to avoid the bathrooms - LOL)

What about this "library" section? I would love to watch all these antics, but I know my DH will not like being the center of attention and my teenage son will not like being asked to do stunts. Can you still see all this stuff happening while in the quiet section?

I think you're better off in the main section. Just tell the hostess you don't want to participate. She'll note it for the waiter or she'll put you in a spot a little out of the way.
