Never heard of it until I read the article. How ridiculous, why does it have to be called anything? Tuck your hair in, leave strands out, who cares?

Exactly! All these labels - and their implicit judgements - are not helping the mental health of our societies.

Isn't "hair" enough of a label? Or, maybe, "face-framing strands", if you're talking to your hair stylist!! I.e. Description without judgement.
