Be aware if traveling to WDW within the next few days

We just returned today. We stayed at the Coronado Springs. Used Wet Ones, Sprayed Lysol and washed our hands constantly.

My 18 mo threw up Monday night and has had diarrhea since then. DD5 threw up in the baggage claim at O'Hare and has not stopped since and now has diarrhea as well. She can't keep down a sip of water. DH and I are ok so far. *knock wood*

Its rough when little ones get sick. Escpecially in public places :lmao: Hope they feel better soon.
I am glad we didnt catch that. I will be satisfied with this cold and the fact that my kids didnt catch it.

Just got back from WL last night. None of us got sick; saw no one being sick. maybe it is over?

We have already had this terrible bug....and we don't go to Disney for 33 more days!! Hopefully if we do get exposed there we are immune!!!

My hubby & I was just there February 14-21 & we did not see anything or hear anything about this. I did know about it b/c I had read this thread! SO I took hand sanitizer and wipes as well and wiped off knobs in the room and light switches and the remote.

We refilled our mugs every night at the pepper market. We stayed at CSR by the way. But the best way to keep germs down is just wash your hands. Wash them after the bathroom..before you eat...dont touch your face.

But Im glad we didnt catch this. It would be a bummer to spend that kind of money and get sick and have to stay in the room for a few days.

Altho, I do have a cold now :sad1: but thats better than whats going around down there.

Im ready for Spring!!

The weather was nice but I was expecting it to be a lil bit better than it was. The nights were fairly chilly and the wind was crazy like 2 nights and that made it even chillier. But the days were decent. I can think of 2-3 days where it was 80!! & that is just awesome compared to 30s as the high where I live. Urgh!

So to all whos going to Orlando soon....Have Fun & Be Safe!!

yeah, can this thread die a natural death now? RIP stomach viruses.

It's about time to start a Horrors! Bed bugs at Disney! thread:lmao:

It's not dead - my husband had the 24 hour stomach bug on Friday. On our last Disney trip, he had food poisoning from an offsite restaurant. So maybe he is jinxed?

Talked to a woman in the Dumbo line, and both her daughters had it last week too.

You are about the 5th person to come back reporting sickness! Its pretty scary! We leave in 2 weeks and I am going to be packing lysol wipes, lysol and hand sanitizer!!!! Thanks for warning everyone.

Ditto. My older boy was a weakened immune system and catches stuff like nothing flat - and bad. We will be wiping down both of our rooms top to bottom, before we even let the two out of the stroller. Hopefully there will be something on the TV to grab their interest in the meantime. *sigh*

Well there is always something going around. In 2006 I got really sick 4 days into our trip & came back home with pnemonia. That was in April.

We were there last week with no problems. There are bugs going around everywhere right now, not just at Disney, so if someone is exposed before they leave, they may come down with it at Disney and it have absolutely nothing to do with being a Disney. I didn't hear anyone talking last week about being sick.

Boy that's true My poor DGS7 was so sick on Sat. with a stomach bug, never saw a kid hang on to a toilet bowl so tight! :scared: All I could think of is how awful to be that sick at WDW. I reminded him how important it was to wash his hands etc. Now I don't feel so good :guilty: , but nothing like he was. It seemed to be a 24 hr thing. I'm sure he brought it home from school.
We will not get sick on our vacation....We will not get sick on our vacation....We will not get sick on our vacation....

I think there will always be people getting sick at WDW, because of the high density of people touching things and coming from different areas of the world.

It is what it is.

However, what I saw there over the winter (and unfortunately participated in ), was epic.

I think it's back to normal levels, now, I was watching for it over valentine's day and I wasn't seeing the same issue (or having them, thank God).

I still think it's a good thread, if 10 people going to disney practice better sanitary habits because of this thread, then I'm very, very happy.
