I am staying at the BCV from Dec. 19th-24th in a non-smoking studio. What would be the best part of the resort to stay if I have a senior with limited walking abilit. We want to make good use of Stormalong Bay? I need to know in order to make special requests with Guest Services.

Too, how far is it to walk to the boat launch and Epcot?:earsboy:

Hi -
This is a tough one to answer, not knowing what the limited walking
ability is but I'll try. The BCV is separate from the BC resort and for the
most part the rooms are a little further from Stormalong Bay and the boat launch for Epcot and MGM. My recommendation would be to ask
for a room close to the main elevator (there is only one main elevator bank and it consists of two elevators). There is one more elevator by the pool. This would give you the closest access to BC resort via a walkway to the main lobby, which is where you'll have to go to access SAB and the boat launches. Just as a side, the walk to the boat launch (for Epcot) may be longer than actually walking to the International Gateway. Bottom line; it's very spread out and there is no easy way to access either.
Good Luck

If you have a car, you will be able to park more closely to the BCV than you can if you valet park. You might ask the resort if you could borrow a wheelchair unless you have one of your own. The boat launch is closer to YC than BC. If you get the wheelchair, you can walk to Epcot more quickly.

Or you could rent an ECV from a rental company so you would have it at the resort as well as the parks.
