I really like the BCV resort, but I am finding a resell hard to find. If I went with Old Key West, how hard would it be to get into BCV with only a 7 month window. I figure xmas and other major holidays are out, but what about the rest of the summer months. If you get wait listed what are your chances.

Buy where you want to stay. You will hear it often on these boards. My suggestion is to be patient. Get your name in with the resale companies and let them know what you want. It will eventually happen but it will take a little time. A lot of resales never make it to the for sale lists. Let them know what you want ahead of time.

At some point in the future, it is going to get more and more difficult to make reservations within the 7 month at the smaller DVC's, like BCV and VWL because of the sheer number of members who will be looking for them.

You might want to contact a few resellers if you haven't already. Not all the available resales show up on the websites because they are sold to people waiting for them. I know we got a small point add-on at OKW through a reseller. They got it in one day, called me and we bought it that same day.

I contacted 3 of the resale outfits about two weeks ago and one of them called me with a BCV with 250 points last week. I put in an offer and the sellers agreed. I now am waiting on all of the real estate activity to take its course. My family loves the BCV location. If I had to wait too long my second choice would have been the WLV. Good luck. Dennis

I'd hold out. I think both BCV and VWL are going to have great trading power once SSR really gets going and there are more members. Good luck!
