I plan on wait listing for a small contract either at BCV or BWV. It looks like the Boardwalk studio does not have a balcony. Is that true? Other then that which would YOU choose?
TIA! :sunny:

If it is one the first floor neither resort has a balcony only a patio. Above the first floor all studio's that I have had have a private balcony.

Not sure where you read that but maybe you miss understood what they were saying.

We are proud BWV owners. We did BWV because we LOVE the location and we wanted to take advantage of the standard view rooms which use fewer points, thus making our purchase go even farther. To do it over again I wouldn't do it differently, BUT we just stayed at BCV for the first time this past April. We really loved it. The location to EPCOT is just so close. BWV is close, but it's a tiny pain to get there unlike BCV. We also loved how you could park fairly close to your room unlike BWV. It's a tough decision since they are both truly wonderful!!! Good luck!

We have picked BWV as our main home (because the SV points make the points go farther), but we also love BCV and try to go there for one small trip a year. We have never had a studio at BWV that didn't have a balcony. We have been on the first floor at SSR and VWL and those studios did have patios with chairs to sit on, and they were fine.

Recommend BCV only because we have had pretty good luck getting BWV BW View as non BWV owners and BCV is just harder to reserve and we like staying there as well (SAB, B&C etc). Both are great.

I own at both for these reasons:

Spring & Summer BCV....SAB pool

Oct-Jan BWV... boardwalk view

I'm going June & July...didn't plan my trip to include a lot of nights in the DVCs, but I'm staying some nights BWV standard view for the point value. This will be my 1st time staying in a stnd view room, so I have no idea, as of now, what to expect. I'll have a car, but will rely mainly on riding the bus and boat while staying there.

There's almost a $5-$10 per point difference between BWV and BCV contracts through the resale market.-- Also, something to consider. If you're happy with the BW villas--having the Boardwalk View during Christmas & New Years was incredible!! It's a great resort with close proximity to nice restaurants and has a DVC community hall room that some kids enjoy. There's a smaller arcade room there, but the smaller LUNA pool is nice if you have several kids to keep track of. When we're at the SAB, my 5 yr old stays on one end of the pool closest to the Yacht & Beach Club, and my 13 yr old is somewhere else in the pool! If you ever want to add on in the future, (you will, most of do, or at least, want to) BWV contracts are more common on the resale market.

I always say that if I had to choose only one DVC to own, it would be the BCVs--it's just home to me...but BWVs is a very close 2nd. :thumbsup2

BWV views are the best in Disney.

Thank you everyone! I spoke to my guide and went on the waitlist for BCV. Epcot is my favorite park so it just makes sense. The points are going up July first from $92 to $98. If you already have DVC membership you will not need to pay closing cost next month in case anyone wanted to know :thumbsup2
