BCV swim in Jan?

Absolutely!

Some days, by mid-day, it's warm enough even for those w/"southern blood" to swim...most days, especially by mid-day, it's warm enough for the colder-blooded northerners...

I swim almost every morning, regardless of weather (not when it's 30 or 40...but when it's 50 or 60)...the pools are heated so the only "hard part" is getting out, all wet, into the cold air...I just make sure I have a sweatshirt all laid out and ready to pull on as soon as I towel off...

While the Stormalong Bay pool is nicely heated, the climb to the top of the slide can be a bit chilly if there's any breeze at all....of course, I still always do it at least once or twice - even in January!

No matter which resort you stay at in January, the pool is heated. Its just a question of if its heated enough for your temperature tolerance and if the air is warm enough for you to be comfortable. Bring a suit and hope for the best.

We have gone to Disney quite a number of times in Jan. and March and sometimes it has been colder in March than Jan. We have always swam on every trip at least once, except this past Jan, 2010. It was so cold, we stayed at VWL and even thought the pool was near the door it was way too cold. It was an extremely cold winter in Florida. I wish you luck and hope you have a warm trip.
