Hi all,

I just made ressies for a two bedroom at BCV for the last week of January 05. We've never stayed there before. Are there any room requests I should make? Views? Is the proximity to an elevator an issue?

I'd appreciate any other suggestions regarding our stay at BCV.

Thanks.

BCV is not a sprawling resort. The walk from one end to the other is not what I imagine the BWV is like.

I personally wouldn't request close to the elevators because both are conveniently located in my opinion. But if that's important to you, make that request, or request a ground floor unit which is fabulous and I speak from personal experience.

Views are views. If you don't have a yen for something in particular, especially if you may not be on the balcony or patio that much, then don't make a request. I personally think that the people who get the good rooms are the ones that don't have a lot of requests.

We've stayed at BCV three times now, each time with the Epcot view. Road noise was not an issue for us, but for others on this board it has been a subject of complaint. We finished our trip a week ago at VWL, and were given a "woods view" without a request for anything but non-smoking. The woods view actually was a bus stop view, but I couldn't have cared less. I stepped out on the balcony a few times, and I don't think my wife ever did. Except for a girl on the cell phone, I never saw anybody on their balcony. Maybe they didn't want to watch the buses, or maybe most people don't really use the balconies that much. Same thing at BCV - three trips, and except for fireworks, never saw anybody on the balconies. Unofficial survey - "Do many of you actually spend a lot of time on your balconies?"

I do spend quite a bit of time on the balcony. It is usually in the afternoon when the kids are taking a nap. I grab a good book and unwind and know that life is good!

We use balconies. Kids especially like to sit out there and eat their breakfast and hubby uses relaxes out there at night. One reason why we loved our BW view so darn much this past trip!

Dunes Cove/Quiet Pool view upper floors is what I go for, but it's not to look at the pool. This part of the building is sort of 'U' shaped and allows for the greatest view of all (IMHO :)) which is the building itself (because you are on the 'inside' of the 'U').
