BCV questions--leaving Sunday!

Hi!

My family just returned from a dedicated 2-br villa in BCV this past Saturday (room 551 - excellent view of EPCOT fireworks I might add!). The other answers here were all accurate from what I experienced last week. The one about the pool and zero entry, I can confirm that the zero-entry area was open for us last week, and yes it is the part of the pool farthest from Beach Club. Our kids still had a blast and there was more than enough room and not too crowded.

The shipwreck/slide is not open yet, or at least it wasn't when we left Saturday.

Hope this helps!

PS I'm reading all these threads because we were so enamoured by our stay at BCV - first time ever staying on Disney property, and first time back for vacation since the 80's for both me & DH (and first with kids of course!) - that we're considering taking the DVC plunge...!!!!! Sigh, I can see why you guys caution folks about this! :)

PS Our dedicated 2-br had a king in the master bedroom (room 551 as noted above).

BCV2005, I'm so glad you enjoyed BCV!

Just a couple questions...

Did the second bedroom in 551 have 2 queens or a queen and pull out sofa?

Also, was the pool in the shipwreck portion, with the little slide, closed too?

We are going in just 2 days! I have way too much to do and a sick little one to boot.

Apologies, lisareniff, I've just caught up on this thread and missed you before your trip. But I will answer anyway in case it's useful in future!

The second bedroom in 551 had a queen and a pull-out sofa. My dad slept in the queen and my DD6 in the pull-out and they were really comfy. I also noted how quiet it was between the rooms - when you went into that 2nd bedroom and closed the door you couldn't hear anything in the rest of the unit. Awesome for my daughter getting to sleep at a decent hour even if the rest of us were awake!

Yes, I believe the pool in the shipwreck portion with the little slide was closed. At least, I didn't see this part of the pool at all so I can only assume it was behind the barriers that closed off that part of the pool.

Hi. We're back. I'll post a full report on the board, but here's a little info. We had room 233. Dedicated 2 bedroom. Two queens in second room, connecting door by front door. Note, it is designed for kids so there's no hair dryer in that bathroom and there is no door to the balcony from that room. The room did have one of the huge balconies.

also, the little slide is open but the big slide is still closed and the lifeguards told me it may not open until the first week of march.

Thanks bcv2005! I just got back today! Great trip. ... but arn't they all? I'm slowly identifying the bedding in all the dedicated 2 bedrooms. I didn't have 551 yet. thanks.
