BCV Portrait Artist-GREAT Job

We had the local artist in the lobby of the BeachClub do a portrait of our one-year-old. I must say that the artist, Echo Keller, did an amazing job.

We supplied a photograph and $100, and two days later, this is what we got. She did a great job. For the money, it was an absolut bargain. Framing it will cost twice what the painting cost us, but it will be a priceless family treasure.

That is beautiful. What is the size? We will be there in April and I might have one done of our two boys.

Oh, that's beautiful, and you're right, the price seems reasonable! We had pastel portraits done of our sons when they each were 3, they are now 31 and 28. They've been hanging in our living room and I love to look and remember!

Every time we pass the artist in the lobby, I say I am going to get my Ds's done. And then we never have time!

That is beautiful and inspirational! They have changed so much in the last 3 years so I am going to try for this trip!

Wow - that is beautiful. And you're right, it is a great price. We chatted with the artist while we were there the first week of December and got some prices and her card, but we didn't get it done! Maybe next trip!

You will enjoy that portrait forever! I have a friend who had each of her (six) children's portraits painted when they turned seven (not in Disney) and has them all displayed in her living room in matching frames. Funny story - she bought five frames at once when her oldest was seven - at the time she had only 2 kids, then proceeded to have four more! Luckily, her MIL, without her knowledge, bought an extra frame "just in case" - guess she had a hunch!

Three years ago we had one of the Artists do a portrait of both of our children. At the time our son (10) and DD (7). The portrait came out beautiful! I have put it above the mantle above our fire place. Now next year when we go back to BCV in July,we are going to have smaller portraits of my son now 13 and dd 10 done and put on either side of the first.They are beautiful and something we will be able to cherish the rest of our lives.

Does anyone have contact information for Echo Keller? I like to have portraits of the grandkids done the next time we're at the BCV.

When we were at BCV a couple of weeks ago, I talked to Echo about having our kids' portrait done. I expressed concern about getting all four of them to sit still long enough for her to do her job and she said that she's very happy to use individual photographs and just merge them all together. Maybe she draw the dog in, too....
