if you could be guaranteed the view of Spaceship earth, 5th floor, not to near the road,
or
pool view,

which one?

I know Epcot view is iffy because of the road and noise and I do not want that, but how would it be if I could be guaranteed 5th floor Epcot view..?
then would it be the right choice??

I just dont want to hear road and trucks..etc...
if there is a great epcot view 5th floor, one bedrrom villa, where is it????

or is there no perfect epcot view, would we be better off w/pool view???

thanks!

Laura :)

You won't get a guarantee of any floor or view. Just list your wishes in order of preference and see what happens!

Good Luck!

You can get an Illuminations view that does not have a road view. This would be the Woods/Wetlands view, but you will not see Spaceship Earth. Best 1 bedroom with this view would be 529.

All the views that have a Illuminations and Spaceship Earth view have the road view as well. In a perfect world, if I could gaurentee this view, I would do it in a minute. The road does not bother me but that view of Spaceship Earth while I am lying in my bed or standing at my kitchen counter, was just beautiful. I think the 1 bedroom with this view and furthest from the road would be 557.

The real question is would you pay more points for one of the views? I'm talking 40-50 points a week difference on a 2 BR.

BCV doesn't have very good views, I think we all knew that going into this purchase. If you want a view, you need to stay at BWV. Given that, we prefer the pool view. It's more likely, quiet, and as picturesque as BCV has to offer.

Our first couple of trips to the BCV have been top floor Epcot views. Our first stay was in room #473 which overlooked the canal. The road noise was not a real problem from our perspective. We were in #548 a few weeks ago and there was no road noise and we still had a good view of Illuminations. I've requested a top floor pool view for our next trip. The trip after that I've requested top floor Epcot view. We don't spend a whole lot of time hanging out at the resort so a beautiful view is not very important to us. The view of Spaceship Earth is good enough for us.

Our first BC trip was a couple of weeks ago. We requested EPCOT view which we technically received. It was a first floor on the road view of EPCOT. For future trips we will always ask for pool view. On another location: I'm amazed that they actually put people in the rooms that have a walkway, Beach Club view and call that preferred.

I posted above about our recent room experience at BCV:

One note about pool view that I didn't care for was the fact that it's lit up like the outfield at Fenway park at night. If you want to relax on a dark, quiet balcony in the evening - I would recommend the Epcot view (if you don't mind the road) or the Woods/Wetland view (which I'm going to attempt to request next time).

I am completely aware that views are not guaranteed.
I am asking hypothetically, if the 5th floor spaceship earth is better than pool view....

I am still torn on what to do..?

how bad is the road noise form the epcot view rooms, 5th floor???

Laura :)

IF you could be guaranteed the 5th floor Epcot view, I'd take it over pool view. We had a direct Spaceship Earth view last year from 546 (on the spur), and it was spectacular, as good as one could hope for at a resort that doesn't have good views!

People go ga-ga over lagoon view at the Polynesian. It is nice, but the castle is pretty shrimpy at that distance. SSE from BCV is several times the size of a full moon, and at no additional charge.

Keep in mind that the better your view of Spaceship Earth, the worse your view of Illuminations, and vice-versa, so in that sense there is no "perfect" Epcot view. We had to stand up against the railing to see Illuminations, but if we did we could see all the fireworks. Other villas have a more direct view of Illuminations, but a worse view of Spaceship Earth.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Beach Club doesn't have preferred or standard views. Its the same points for every view.

erikthewise,
thanks, we arent ever in the room during illuminations anyway (we usually have dinner around 7:30 or 8pm, and have seen illuminations tons of times) I'd rather have spaceship earth right there in front of me every minute,
then 15 minutes of fireworks...

Thanks everyone!!!!! :)

While it is very lit-up at night, I really like the pool view. You can see the rest of the resort (it kind of curves around) and it's all lit up like a carnival. Very festive and pretty. My husband HATES light in the room when he sleeps but the curtains did OK keeping the room dark. We were also in the "walked all day at WDW" coma at night.

I am a worrier. If I requested the Epcot view I would worry for months about getting the road view. Actually, I GOT the road view, last summer, and asked to be reassigned. If you are willing to take your chances and not fret, go for the Epcot view if that's what you'd most like. I like to ask for pool view as it seems "safer." And of course after 1 hour I would be FINE with any view!
