) at $70 per point. I just pulled out the contact to make sure I was remembering the amout correctly and it came to $70. Seems so unbelivable since it can go for $85 to $90 per point on resales now.

Misleading kind of, it was $75 a point and $5 off if you declined a "Free Deluxe Stay" which we declined making it $70, we also got the first years points which we rented for $10 (equivalent to a typical $10 Magic Beginnings offer) making it $60. Should have bought 500.

It is my understanding that those who purchased in the early '90s also got free annual passes until 2000. The value of these annual passes actually equalled their buy in costs, so esentially a 'free' membership.
Longterm experts, please chime in!

Or perhaps you have trouble believing other people who bought in in 2002 prior to the opening? The price was $75 minus Magical Beginnings if you qualified, as pointed out by several other posts on this thread. But as your post indicates, the prices really started accelerating at a much faster rate after 2000 since we bought in at OKW at $67 (or only $2 more than you) nearly a year after your BWV purchase. As I recall, things started accelerating when VWL sold out so quickly.
