I was just thinking back to when BCV opened. Do they still have the temp. sensors that control the AC? I was thinking about staying there but now having second thoughts although we would be there in February.

Also, do you think BCV have any advantage over SSR? We stayed at SSR and loved it but were thinking of a change.

Thanks for your input! :cool1:

The temperature controls are the same but I wouldn't make that a reason not to try the BCV. You are within walking distance of two parks, MGM and EPCOT. You are within walking distance of the whole Boardwalk area and you will have access to SAB. The BCV's have more of a hotel feel as well. But some people may view those things as dis-advantages. It depends on your taste. Try it, you may like it.

If you were comfortable with SSR's HVAC system, you will also in the BCV's because they have the same control systems. If fact all the WDW rooms either have or will have the new control system.

So go enjoy the BCV.

Have a great trip.

I don't know if I'm a big dummy or what (could be :rotfl: ) but I had a heck of a time trying to work the temp controls in SSR. I ending up either roasting or freezing. Wonder what I was doing wrong? :confused3

We stayed at the main building at the GF in 2002, and the room temperature drove us crazy! We finally had engineering come to the room to override the system. We had to do that every 48 hours, because the system would return to automatic after that time. When we returned from the parks, the room was boiling. It also got stuffy at night until someone got out of bed and moved around to turn on the sensor. BLAH!

We have stayed at the BCV on 3 separate trips since the GF nightmare, and we have NEVER had trouble with the room temperature.
