There are two resales on the Timeshare Store website asking $90 per point. That is the first time that I can recall resales being priced above the direct from Disney price for a resort. Very interesting (I understand why this might happen, but I still find it interesting).

IMHO, Non-owning BCV lovers who could easily book at 7 months out are fueling the frenzy. They're afraid as DVC membership grows via SSR, there will be intense competition at the 7 month mark. The mantra's always been "Buy where you want to stay" and that's what they're doing. With the long waitlist via DVC, demand is far outpacing supply. Not to mention the rumor these points will go to $94 via add on when Disney gets any in inventory.

Please feel free to respond "duh".

BTW, any prediction on when BCV will hit the $100 mark?

They have listed the same property twice by accident. They have yet to fix it. I talked to the TSS yesterday about that contract. IMHO that is an outrageous price. I will buy somewhere else before I pay $90 a point

About one week after the "price increase" is announced.

It will be interesting to see how long that contract will take to sell. I expect not too long. Though I do wonder if the price is a bit too high for a contract that size. I figure any BCV contract less then 100 points will sell very quickly at $90.

A 60 point contract at BCV sold at $85 in about 8 minutes today. Recently an 80 point contract sold within hours at $88.

I agree with Beca, next price increase and we could start to see some $100 contracts. Though I suspect that only smaller contracts will be able to fetch that price.

If you are a DVC owner, especially at BCV, the increasing resale prices is nothing but good news. For those looking to buy-in ar do and add-on, the prices are probably going to continue to increase. We will not probalby see a stabilization in prices until Disney stablizes prices at SSR and the other resorts.

And if SSR keeps selling the way it is and if they should announce a new resort (Contemporary?)within the next year? Then we will all soon be reminiscing about the days whan you could buy into DVC at $100.

For many, the smaller resorts (due to size and atmosphere) are more desirable to own, and have higher demand. This is not surprising. The only offering from DVC direct is SSR. I understand why SSR may be a turn off for some, it would be for us.

When we were doing our buying, DVC was selling HH, Vero, VWL and BCV all at the same time. Now, buyers who purchase direct from Disney have only one choice.

Yea, but that service road.
