Well, a waitlist cleared for us, yay :cool1: ! Do you think that 4 nights at the BCV and 2 nights at the VWL would be good? We have two kids, 4 and 7. We originally wanted 6 nights at BCV but couldn't get the last night there, so we waitlisted the last two nights at VWL and they came through today. Should I take them? Or hold out for that last night at BCV and not move? Help!? I want to see the other resorts but I also don't like to move...

It is situations like this that make me happy to have a few points to spare here and there. If possible, I would take those last two nights at VWL and hold on to the second-to-last (penultimate) night at BCV. Then keep the waitlist for that last BCV night open; I would do this even if I had to borrow a few (not a lot, but just a few) points from next year. If something comes thru before 30 days out, then great; otherwise at 31 days, cancel that penultimate night at BCV and live with the move, and save yourself from Holding Account points.

Moving in the middle of your stay isn't so bad, but we always prefer to stay in one place if possible. And if you do move, two nights at VWL in the pre-Xmas time will be gorgeous!

That being said, for our own Thanksgiving week trip, we are staying at BCV the weekend before thru Tuesday, then shifting over to our our usual BWV Std view for the rest of the week and following weekend. DD really wanted another stay at BCV after we stayed there last Oct (after being stranded for a few days due to a cancelled flight). But the point savings of the BWV Std view keep calling us back. So we're only dabbling in BCV this time.

Have a great trip! Apparently, we'll see you there.

Good advice. I think I need to buy some more points....

We have already borrowed all of 2007 points except for 4. To keep that BCV night, it would mean borrowing from 2008, which would be risky because I couldn't put them back once borrowed. So we decided to take the VWL for the last two nights and enjoy the different resort. I'm only afraid that I might fall in love with it and want points there too :) .

Last Dec we split our stays (on purpose) between BCV and VWL (4+4).
I must say, the combination was delightful. Like a gourmet meal. Delish! ;)

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did :thumbsup2 .

I am so impressed, never knew "penultimate" was a word, never mind it's meaning. Thank you, pumpkinboy!

What would I do? Well, I would go with the waitlist and take the 4 + 2, but I would go back on the waitlist for BCV, just in case we could get all 6 nights at the BCV without moving and without adding on right now.

Bobbi :)

PS. I am pretty sure that you can't borrow from 2008 to use for this ressie.

We're kind of excited about two resorts now, but we are still on the waitlist for the entire stay at BCV in a 2 bedroom dedicated. Doubtful that it will come in because we need the whole six nights versus just one or two, but you never know. Plus, we are pretty happy thinking of visiting VWL so maybe I'll just cancel the waitlist anyhow.

Thanks for the good vibes!
