We have a pre-vacation vacation planned this Christmas and I need some dining suggestions.

Our vacation is 12 days at the Poly but I decided to modify our travels a little and booked at the Beach Club Resort for the day before our Poly ressie :)

So we are getting there in the morning, full of Krispy Kreme donuts, will be eating at Beaches & Cream because its great food and the kids want to do the Kitchen Sink. That evening we are doing the sleigh ride at the Fort Wilderness Lodge which ends about 6:30pm.

We can't figure out if we should eat somewhere at Fort Wilderness, which I haven't read any good reviews on, or go back and eat at the Boardwalk or one of the resorts right there. We do not have park passes so it has to be outside the parks..

and I'm the only seafood eater which everyone is cool with a seafood place if they have really good other foods, like burgers, or chicken fried steaks, etc..

I'm just lost here. help?

You might enjoy the quick walk over to ESPN or Big River Brewing (both don't take ADRs). Or if you want an ADR you could try Captn's Grille at YC.
ESPN had very good burgers and lots of tvs.

Captain's Grille was a nice assortment for dinner - steak, chicken, pork - fairly mainstream stuff.

How are you getting over to the Fort?

I was thinking about big river actually

Not really sure how we get to the fort, the CM suggested it so i booked it but haven't planned how to actually get there. Is there a boat?

From BC you would need to take the bus to MK and then take a boat to the Fort. It could take you close to an hour (worst case).
It would be a lot easier if you went when you were staying at the Poly.

I like to use Our Laughing Place Travel Wizard to figure out how to get places. But a lot of times I just end up taking a cab to another resort.

I will check the wizard out. thanks.. that is a long time.

I forgot to mention we are driving so I will have my car to drive to WL :thumbsup2

FF at the BWI, great seafood and heard from others that it is the best steak on the property. It's a must do for us, each trip. Fresh seafood, great atmosphere (can be loud), and service too!:)

I've been reading some really great reviews of Trail's End lately on the restaurant review board.

DH and I really like the Beach Club's Cape May Cafe. Good seafood and lots of other choices for landlubbers. Have fun!!

Trails end breakfast buffet looks great. I didnt look at their dinner stuff though.

It's all subjective, but we stay at BWV 18 nights each year and eat on the Boardwalk regularly. If I had to rank the restaurants there in order, factoring in food only (not cost), I'd say:

Flying Fish (I've eaten there twice)
Kouzzina (maybe 12 times)
Boardwalk Bakery (maybe 10 times)
Big River Brewing (three times)
ESPN Club (three times)

My own rankings based on both food AND value:

Kouzzina
Boardwalk Bakery
Flying Fish
Big River Brewing
ESPN Club

I personally think the ESPN Club and Big River are not worth a visit unless there's a game on TV you want to watch or unless you only want a beer. I've given up on both of them.

My family of four can get out of Kouzzina for less than $150, and we drink wine. At Flying Fish it's closer to $250-275. Flying Fish is a little better but a lot more expensive.

And do yall eat seafood or other food there?
