BC Room Request update 6/6

Do the 1st floor rooms have a walkout patio? I have a pool/water view booked and can do on-line check in tomorrow but don't know what to request.
 
1st floor rooms do have a patio. When you do online check in, there is not a space to make specific requests (unless that has changed in the last month or so). They should be made on your reservation prior to check in. Have fun!

Just did on-line check-in and was able to make 2 requests: ground floor and close to transportation. The other 2 options were pack and play or a fridge.

Some of the patios, you're able to walk right out onto the grounds and others have shrubs around them, which closes them in. You can't lock the patio doors from the outside though, so if you're leaving the room for the day, someone would still need to lock that door from the inside and exit the room through the regular door.

As the previous posters stated, you can't type in specific requests, but there is a small selection of drop down requests that you can check off. One of them is the ground floor, so that should cover you (provided you don't want to be in a specific area of the resort).
 
OK, I did on-line check-in on 6/5 and received email confirmation with my requests of ground floor and close to transport.

Went into check-in today to change credit card info for charging and only ground floor was noted so I again added close to transportation. Receivced a "red box" stating that is not available.

So I am thinking the room is already assigned to a ground room but it is not close to transportation. I would rather have ground floor than close to transportation so that is fine. I just find it curious that they seem to be assigning rooms at 9 days out.
 
Considering all the issues Disney has with their computer systems, I'd chock it up to a glitch :badpc:. The resort won't even see your reservation for a few more days, so it's very unlikely that you've been assigned something already.

"Close to transportation" is kind of a mute point at the BC anyway, as the boat is located in one area and the bus stop is about as opposite as you can get ;) . Wherever you're placed, the resort is not really that spread out and you're easily within a few minutes walk of both.

Thanks, I didn't think of that. This is the first time at this resort. One more question you may know, will we still make it to soarin without a long wait if we enter through the bask way at RP or should we cab it to the front entrance?

unless they've changed things, we've always been able to enter and walk up to a certain point where you wait for the park to open. Your walking pace might need to be a little brisker when they do open up, but you should be fine. We never had any problems and it's such a nice quiet way to enter, compared to the craziness up at the front.
