BC/POR split stay or 8 nights in a SSR studio?

I'm having such a hard time deciding... maybe someone can sway my opinion one way or the other?

DH and I are running the Princess Half this year, and right now I can book 2 nights for Princess weekend (and my Birthday!) at Beach Club and the rest of our stay at POR at a decent rate. Or, for $200 more, we could stay at SSR in a deluxe studio for all 8 nights.

We'll have a rental car, so transportation is not an issue. The idea of having a kitchenette appeals to me, because we like to eat at least one meal in our rooms each day. But Beach Club is such a beautiful resort, and probably a good location for race weekend. A lot of the reviews of SSR I've read are a bit meh...

So basically, my opinion is a ping-pong going back and forth in my brain right now! :rotfl:What would you choose?

I would want to do POR then BC, but I guess that order is not possible? If not I think I would go with SSR. If doing a split stay, I always like to save the best for last.

We are a staunch BC family. Love, love, love the resort and the location. My problem would be leaving after 2 nights! Anyway, we stayed at SSR this summer in a 2 bedroom villa. We absolutely loved it. We liked being so close to DS for food and entertainment. We used DS like we use EP for meals, snacking and entertainment at night. We had the advantage of a full kitchen but if were just 2 of us, I could be (and currently am) tempted to stay in a studio for the kitchenette. None of this probably helps you make a decision but if you haven't stayed at SSR before and have any questions I would be willing to answer any questions. (I'm no expert but can compare the 2 from recent stays.)

I think the Princess half marathon ran past the Beach Club last year. If it finishes at Epcot like is usually does, then you can walk back to your room when finished.
