We are going to be staying at OKW for the first time in May and are thinking about bbq-ing one night. Are the grills in big demand? (We are actually thinking of doing this Mother's Day evening.) Are there grills spread around the complex or are they only in one location? Do we need to buy charcoal, or is that provided?

Unrelated, but as long as I'm here, do we need to bring kitchen garbage bags or are they provided?

Thanks for any help you vets can give me!

At OKW there are outside grills at every small pool area. You have to supply your own charcoals. Garbage bags are provided, they are at the bottom of the trash barrel in the kitchen. The barrel in the kitchen that has green bags is for soda bottles, etc. the one under the sink is for garbage.

We have used the grills at OKW and never had a problem finding one not being used. The pavilions are nice with the grills and picnic tables in the same area. Like Pa@okw95 said you need to bring your own charcoals. We had a great time swimming then cooking outside.

We had a very nice barbecue at the Turtle Pond Pool (that is the biggest of the quiet pools). There were about three grills with adjoining picnic tables. No one else was using them, but every so often you see them in use. Charcoal is not provided. We bought the smallest bag we could find at an area grocery store, but it was still a big bag. We then found out that the store at the resort sells small bags of charcoal that would have been perfect for this one time use.

We have used them several times and never had a problem getting availability. It's actually kind of fun being able to grill at the pool while the kids splash around.
