BBB -- do they sanitize that plastic shield between kiddos?

At the risk of sounding neurotic, you know that plastic face shield they use at Bippity Boppity Boutique to keep hair spray out of the kids' eyes, does anyone know if they sanitize that in between girls?

My daughter has an immune deficiency. We do pretty well at Disney by not allowing her to touch things and washing hands obsessively. We signed her up for BBB for her birthday, and I noticed the shield. Any ideas? I guess I can call BBB directly, but the hold time isn't awesome. :)

Thank you!!

I'm sure if you say something before hand or have them note it on your reservation, they will make sure to have a clean one prepared for her.

Just tell them of your daughter's needs and I'm sure there will either be a new shield brought out or the current one cleaned to your specifications.

I think they lick them clean.

Gotta put Stitch to work somehow.

In all seriousness though OP, if you express at the beginning of your appointment and have it noted on your reservation I don't see any reason why Disney could not accommodate you. I'm sure they would be more than happy to considering your reason as long as you inform them!

Huh, guess I should leave a good tip if they're providing that kind of personal service now.

Problem is, now I can't get that image out of my mind, and it's my own fault!!!!

Really though, yeah, either bring your own wipes and explain the situation, or let the CM's know before hand so they can either use a brand new one or do whatever sanitizing is needed.

We were just there and I noticed they were taking them into the back after each girl was done. I assumed they were wiping them down. I would still bring one of those little antibacterial sprays, just in case! She's going to love it there! Have fun!

Thank you! That's exactly the answer I was hoping for.

I would bring wipes. Also recognize that most plastics in public settings now are bacterial resistant plastics; metals are a much bigger concern for you such as door knobs/handles & bathroom stall door latches. Another "bad" one are the hand "rails" on escalators.

Can you bring your own?
