Needed a budget room for this trip that had a fridge (MIL has insulin) and accpeted pets. Pets 10.00 a night per pet.
Room was great. I was comfortable but DH says he found the beds a bit soft. Personal preference thing. He's wrong
Nice, clean and had a micro/fridge and wet bar area. Cable was limited. No problem for me as I spend as little time as possible in the room. Staff was good with one exception. I'm going to choose to believe she was having a bad day.
They have a free bfast but Dh and I didn't partake. Mil and fil say it was pretty good but very busy so get there early.
Here's the problem. It backs onto a bowling alley whose patrons don't give a rat's *** who they disturb when. Each night we were there the police were at the bowling alley to calm things down as the place closed. I felt really bad for the motel guests and the owners. The guests for obvious reasons. The owners because they are providing a nice place for a good price and this will put people off. I won't go back because of it. Not just the noise but the people spilled into the motel parking lot and around our cars.
Now I will say that because we had dogs we were put at the back of the motel facing the bowling alley. If you were at the front away from it you may have barely noticed, if at all, the disturbances. I think a high fence would solve some of the problems with this.
Vending machines were the only other issue. Hit and miss.
I'll be sending a letter about the good and the bad. I don't always do this but I think now it's a good place but it could be great with a few changes.
For $32 (plus 10 for the dog) a night it served our purpose. Without the issues from the bowling alley it would have been a place that more than served our purpose for a budget trip.
Hope this helps you guys!
