Did anyone in your group sleep on the sofa bed? If so, how was it?

Yes...new and firm...but no complaints of Back-ache or anything so thats a good sign considering how most of those fold-out couch-beds are... it was brand new when we opened...I dare say it was the 1st time it had been opened so I do not believe any CMs stayed in our particular room during the soft opening, though I could be mistaken/.

I slept on the sofa bed, since it is brand new, i couldn't belive but.. It was kinda uncomfortable. right where my lower back is there is this hard beam right across the sofa bed. I had to scoope up a little at the middle of the night to get more comfortable.

How exciting to be the first ones to stay there. Thanks for such a great trip report, and thanks for giving us all the details but also for completing it so quickly. It seems like lately I get hooked on these trip reports and then - the OP drops the ball, either just getting tired of it or bogging it down with a bunch of unrelated stuff!

Thank you for sharing the info and photos. I can not wait to stay at BLT. I went on the tour for DVC members in July -- twice! -- and got the bug then. Was just able to switch my spring break rez to BLT 1-bedroom. Everyone in my family is very excited.

I was at BCV on opening day and it was exciting, and I was certainly not THE VERY FIRST... How cool for you guys.

When they opened Kidani everyone checking in on opening day received a model or sculpture of a baobab tree (I might have the name wrong).

Did anyone else checking at BLT opening day in also receive a gift?

I think everyone received matted art of Minnie Mouse that is a smaller version of the artwork on the walls.... in fact they had in our room the Mickey and Minnie artwork so I am *GUESSING* people received BOTH on opening day now that I reflect upon that.
