Bay Lake Tower Studios, is the size really that bad?

My wife and I find the studio a nice size for just us, and stay 10 nights at a shot. No problem finding spots for the luggage, cases of water, food items, and all the stuff my wife purchases as gifts and momentos. We love to sit on the balcony and watch the electric water parade at night, and the boats in the morning, from the lake view rooms.
CANNOT WAIT for our 3 night stay, lakeview BLT during F&W! Glass of wine, relaxing on the balcony watching the electric parade, nothing better! WOW!!!:dance3:

Max of 2 people in one bed
Well, that’s not for me to dictate but the sleeper does open to allow for 2 more! In OKW, we put 3 little girls in one bed, they had plenty of room and slept well.

SO EXCITED :cheer2:for a new experience; beauty of being a vacation club member is to try to try new resorts! :jumping1: CANNOT wait for October F&W trip as a "wind down" from a hectic summer of wedding planning for our eldest DS and future DIL :love:this August. All very exciting wedding planning, very busy and incredibly happy, BUT will need a fun vaca to veg a little for our F&W:drinking1 trip, just DH and me!:Pinkbounc

The only thing that's really bothering me is there is almost no room on the side of the bed against the wall. That's the one thing that I didn't like at AKV and comparing it to CCV which I'm also looking at it's a bit disappointing. I'm sure I'd get over it when I'm walking to MK though.

It really does make a difference when they provide a normal sized nightstand on each side of the bed like at CCV and Aulani (angled balcony rooms). At BLT though there is so little space on each side of the bed that you really couldn't move the bed. There is only a couple of inches between the outside wall the couch and that 1½ to 2 inches is needed for the drapes when they are open. As it is the drapes seem to get all bunched up and wrinkled. The room is so tight that they couldn't even find room for sheers in the studio during the soft refurb in 2016.

We have stayed (and will be staying again soon) in a BLT studio with four. It is tight, but we aren't in the room that often and when we feel like we need more space, the TOWL is an option in the evenings that we're in before park close. I do love the size of the bathroom and kitchenette, though!

You will "get over it" with the convenience of walking to MK real FAST!:laughing:::yes:::wave2:

The fact that it sleeps 4 doesn’t mean it’s comfortable. The OP asked for opinions, In my experience no more than 2 people in a BLT studio.

OKW studios are incredibly larger and better laid out than OKW. I’d easily suggest OKW for 4 but the op asked about blt

Well, we’ve done 3 and 4 in a BLT studio during Food & Wine, as others stated, we spent little time actually in the room, for a week-end it was doable. I even slept in the pullout, not a bad nights sleep. If we’re in a studio with the pull out in use, I always fold it back together first thing in the am, easier to get around. For longer periods, I would pick a 1 bedroom instead of a studio, anywhere, sure more points but everyone has their preferences over time spent verses comfort.

Each family is different and that’s why DVC offers something for everyone. We spend a lot of time at the resort and less at the park, so having a room that is large and comfortable is paramount. BLT studios are poorly laid out imo

You will be fine! I would totally do it again for just DH and I. Now with our son along, it was a bit cramped because we had to pull out the bed for him and then there is no room to walk around. Funny story, we stayed there when DS was 2 and went out on the balcony to watch the fireworks (had a great standard room view). Our son was standing by the door on the inside and locked us out! We had no phones with us either. So we had to sit there through the door trying to tell him how to unlock the door. Thought we were going to have to yell to some balcony neighbors to call the front desk! Moral of the story make sure door can't be locked on you and always bring your cell :teeth:

My husband and I booked this for us 2. Then we invited my grown daughter and our granddaughter to come along. I was worriaed about the size as I heard it was rather small. they do make the most of the space provided. I put all my clothes in the bureau as did my husband since we were there a week. The other 2 opened up their suitcases on the floor in front of the bathroom. Lots of mirrors for hair and makeup. We set up a hair station in the kitchen area. We were not cooking so no big deal. We made it work. It was not unbearable. The view was pretty- Lake view. Nice resort. Our home is BWV and I would prefer that but BLT was all that was available and I was thankful to have it. I agree with the poster about having to take the monorail to Epcot. Its a long haul up and down those ramps at the TTC. Both my husband and I had injured on of our legs prior to going so that part of it was annoying. All in all, I like it and would stay there again.
