*** Bay Lake Tower Owners Group***

Lake view category was actually a catch all for those rooms they felt had a decent to good view but weren't MK view. Or maybe just any water. Might be in part why they now renamed it to resort view. Not really descriptive either.
Makes total sense as to the renames because I would have felt completely justified to argue that that wasn't a lake view had i have cared

I am so confused....so coming to the experts!!

FEB 2026 - Is the pool open at Bay Lake (just the splash area closed) or is the WHOLE pool closed? I feel like I have read it both ways.....ahhhhhhhh

My kids miss Bay Lake!!!!

When going to book it shows it is scheduled to be completed by December.
However earlier reports by several sources including DVCnews showed that the work was supposed to start in Jan 26 so I have no clue either.

The current construction notices on CR/BLT's cash booking website pages are below. @DISNEYFAN2828 - The Bay Lake Pool (the Bay Cove Pool) complex will be closed for your February trip. CR's "Bay Lake Pool" (which is the leisure "bullseye pool") and "feature pool" will be open. The note in the previous post is from 2024 - the "Bay Lake Pool (leisure bullseye pool) was closed late last year for refurb, but that has been completed - guessing WDW still has some bad info on their site.

Love that they provide that information to guests booking cash but why on earth do they not show it to owners when booking on points grrr

Thinking of booking a 1 bedroom for a trip next month. We aren’t owners but would love to stay here. Can anyone tell me if the 1 bed are done with refurbishment? Thanks!

They didn’t do all of the same room type, they are working on chunks of the tower itself. Basically floor 7 and up are done on the South Side of the C. When I was there at the end of January they were working on the lower half of the South Side of the C. So only some Theme Park View and some Lake View (recently renamed Preferred View) 1 bedrooms are complete. I don’t think any of the 1 bedroom Standard View (recently renamed Resort View) are finished.

Thanks for the response & details! Sounds like we need to wait a bit longer to try it

Anyone know the timeframe for them to do the first set of reno's (on the higher floors)? If they are currently working on ground foor to level 5, I'm trying to get a sense of whether we will get a refurbished standard/resort view 2-BR for our trip Mid May.
Same, we are there early May and bringing non DVC family. Hoping they get a real murphy bed as the adult will be sad with couch and my daughter would rather the kid bed instead of chair ha. Crossing fingers since we are Lake view and maybe higher.

Wow that's a standard view room with fireworks?? Thinking i should take the gamble and save me some points
Almost no chance you catch fireworks unless on that one side facing out and waiting to look up in the air. Better off walking outside of the room at that point. Gamble is the right word so just be sure you are okay to not see fireworks from porch.

Definetely going for theme park view after reading feedback! Congrats on your new contract 😀 💫👏

BLT is our home and we have not stayed in ages. Our last few visits the rooms were in bad shape and we had brought non-dvc and it was embarrassing. I have this Dec. booked but now with the pool not being up and running I might have to re-think that and wait till BLT is at 100% for our return. We miss it!

Hi all! We had a couple of studios booked at Boulder Ridge but when my 7 month mark opened for BLTower, I booked two preferred view studios. Are most of the preferred view on upper floors? I love a tower room and the higher the floor the better.

Any chance that we will get a refurbished room? I though I read that they had completed the preferred and theme park view rooms, but I can't find the resource and I already booked ---lol. So I guess it is a "get what you get and don't pitch a fit" situation for me.

I was just wondering if any of you with up to date information could let me know. Thanks!

Preferred view is the old lake view category. Some of the rooms are done (top 8 or so floors of the south end of the C). You can put high floor in your room request and also ask for refurbished room.

We put a request for refurbished room in January and made sure to ask upon check in and they did give it to us and early check in too. Make sure you check everything is working, we had heater issues after we already unpacked and they had to move us, they said they couldn't fix it because they would have to go into another room that was occupied. They told us it was a common issue with about 50% of the heaters not working
