If you don’t care about hearing the music, all of the elevator bays on the North side of the building have huge floor to ceiling windows and benches.

We haven't had so many issues with the non refurb rooms, but still think the refurbs look great by comparison. Anyway, imagine how much more lovely your stay will be once the skybridge gives you quicker access to the restaurants and monorail!

I especially like your description of feeling like an "annex" to MK. You see CR and BLT from Tomorrowland and vice versa, and you can tell the resort is intentionally part of the background -- the closest we have at WDW to what Grand Californian Hotel does for Disney's California Adventure :D
Oh and another criticism I had heard so often about the studios being so small and the middle "kitchen" galley taking up so much room that people hated it...well for me I absolutely adored that galley! We stop at Publix to haul our groceries for the week and there was so much storage and it actually felt the closest to a real kitchen in any of the DVC studios. I never found the room too cramped but then again we like to stay at AKV value rooms so we don't mind. The bathroom sink area was a notable issue with lack of space for toiletries. Oh and the toaster went on fire! You can't make this stuff up. My BLT stay would ne on a thread called DVC horror stories yet here I am waxing poetic about my stay. And I'm a complainer by nature too lol. Best part was we called housekeeping and they brought us a new toaster...and I mean a new toaster...in a box...like straight from Walmart or Target! Let me see if I can find the pics.

CCV Studios seemed way smaller to me than BLT. Maybe they made better use of the space because I stayed in the refurbished room and i actually thought it was big for a studio and impressed it was the only studio we stayed in that had it's only little kitchen area. I love the larger and new tvs too. The only issue we had was heating and that was resolved by moving us. I love the bright new artwork. I can't wait to return!

The biggest complaint i read about BLT and views is that you get the parking lot in the view. Are there any rooms or room types that you don't see the parking lot, but can still see the MK fireworks? I'm guessing no because thats the way the building faces, but maybe there's something I don't know
I recently put up a post on the main CR thread with a review of our rooms at BLT (we were moved due to issues with the wifi). Both rooms were standard view, but the second one was on the 5th floor with a view towards MK over the parking lot to one side, and towards the lake over a utility area to the other side. Honestly, we found it pretty easy to overlook the parking and utility areas when the longer range view was so nice, particularly while the fireworks were on. Here's some photos from the balcony.

A theme park view room will be on higher floors. The higher you get, the more MK will be the focus rather than the parking lot. I would just request the highest floor possible for the best views. The photos MartyParty put up from the 12th floor look great!

Looks like we almost had the same room. 7508?? Or maybe you were 7506 or 04 since you said standard

Wow that's a standard view room with fireworks?? Thinking i should take the gamble and save me some points

Be aware the BLT room view assignment has proven to be very arbitrary for some rooms. DVC won't provide info on which rooms are in which category and over the years there's been plenty of overlap in reports of rooms assigned to what views. Many of us think this is very inappropriate but get no where when questioning it.

We were extremely lucky to get that one! At first we were given room 4209 on the second floor overlooking the courtyard.

If the view is important to you, I definitely wouldn't risk it!
True true this was kind of our view for one of the rooms except ot was all pool, but we paid for lake view... I think they put us in a standard

Yeah I was just saying that we paid for lake view and we got a view of the whole pool. I didnt see the lake 🤣🤣 but I liked the room so we didn't say anything until there was heater issues and then they moved us to what she said was a nicer view of the marina. We actually preferred the pool view because you couldn't see MK fireworks anyways in the new marina 🤣🤣 really seems like a gamble so yeah I wouldn't make it a further gamble, I wonder if they're charging lake view points for some standard, I mean is a view of the pool considered a lake view??

Lake view category was actually a catch all for those rooms they felt had a decent to good view but weren't MK view. Or maybe just any water. Might be in part why they now renamed it to resort view. Not really descriptive either.
