Bathroom Question!! (bringing kids in)

As you are not allowed to leave a child under 7 for even a moment alone, which includes a 6 year old in front of the bathroom door while I washed my hands and came out to a cm chastising me, then outside of trekking to the nearest companion bathroom, single parents have no choice, so you won't be alone in doing it. Obviously a talk about bathroom etiquette with the child never hurts. I remind DS not to look in the cracks if the stalls every time we go

Okay, as most Mom's know....if you only have a daughter the bathroom duty USUALLY falls only on you. Well, for as long as we will be out every day in the parks I am wondering, do any of you Dads bring the kids in the bathroom? I mean my daughter is 3. I'm wondering what would happen if a man was a single Dad and had to bring her to the bathroom himself anyway. Just wondering if its weird/unacceptable. I'm tired of getting up 2 times during every meal bringing my daughter to the bathroom because no one else can haha
My advise, do whatever you are comfortable with, she's 3. There's a ton of debate on this subject, and you will never please everyone.

I have periodic battles with DD5 when she's out with me somewhere and refuses to go into the ladies' room alone. It was fine when she was three, but she's old enough to go alone.

Our DD is 3 and still working on potty training. DH brings her to men's rooms to change her diaper when we're out if necessary. We've always split that responsibility.

I don't see any reason not to. I have three boys and they almost exclusively use the ladies room with me.

Way back when my son was young, my husband has to travel quite often while in the Air Force. In the three years on this duty, we were stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS (way before the casinos) and we figured my husband was gone for over a year of that time but not all at once. A week here, then two weeks back, then a month gone, then a week back, then two weeks gone, etc. Never a pattern as he was a computer instructor and was flown all over the world to teach people how to turn the things on (this was a while ago, obviously). I basically considered myself a single mom for those periods of time. But, my son and I didn't (he was three at the time) sit at home and do nothing! New Orleans was an hour and a half away so I had no choice but to be the bathroom person with him. So, he entered the ladies room with me and he did his business first in the stall with me outside the door and when he was done, I went into the stall but, he had to stand facing the door with his feet under the door so I could see him at all times. I had several mothers tell me that was a good idea and wished their husbands would do that with their daughters.

I took DD to the men's room until they were about 4 or so. Never had an issue. Soon after this, sorry babes, it's your full time job now. I'll wait near the door once DD is old enough to go by themselves but between 4ish and whenever this happens mom is up to bat.

We have 2 boys and 2 girls so we've taken turns over the years. My husband would take the girls to the restroom when they were 4 and under. Once they were 5, he didn't feel comfortable taking them in the men's room.

Most of our WDW trips have been myself and the kids on fall or spring break without my husband, so I have to manage all restroom breaks. Per Disney's rule of always accompanying kids 7 and under, I took all 4 kids into the women's restroom until they turned 8. At 8, I let my older son go to the men's restroom on his own and my older daughter visit the women's restroom on her own.

4 and under is perfectly acceptable and quite common. 5 and above its time for the girls room or use the family restroom.

Is this rule written somewhere?

I have a hard time believing that every CM would admonish a parent for leaving their 7 year old outside the restroom while they ran in. I know (actually I don't) a 7 year old can't roam the park alone, or ride alone but I bet there are exceptions for them using the bathroom alone, and their parent using the bathroom while they wait outside.
You have to be 14 to enter the park alone, I'm not sure what kind of rules they have for kids once inside the park though. Can a 7 year old stand in line to get a Mickey bar while mom and dad watched from somewhere else? I don't see why not.

OP, your dd is 3 there shouldn't be any issue with her going into the men's room with dad.

Both my 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter can go to the bathroom without assistance and know to wash their hands. Someone just waits outside the door if someone of the opposite gender isn't available(like if I take three of the kids grocery shopping with just myself). Luckily with a large family there is always "someone" to accompany to you in a bathroom at Disney/Vacations. A 3 year old in the men's room shouldn't be a problem at all.
