Bathroom Problem at OKW

My sons just got back from their WDW vacation. They stayed in
a two bedroom at OKW in the old section Room 1224. The old
bathroom problem surfaced. There were two couples who
stayed in the bedrooms and then two single guys who slept out
in the living room. They said whatever architect came up with the
layout of the condo didn't take into account that not everyone who comes to Disney are related. Having to knock on a couples'
bedroom door to use the bathrooms late at nite or early am was
awkward. Anyone else ever encounter this problem?

When we have anyone who is going to sleep in the living room, we always make one of our requests a unit with 2 doors to the bathroom. We try not to have anyone use the hide-a-bed, but if we must we always make that request. I think it is buildings under 30, but not sure, so I just ask for the 2 doors.

My sons were not really aware of the bathroom situation at
OKW as they usually go to HH. And I had completely forgotten
about the old section of OKW having to go through the bedroom
to get to the bathroom. I think they will not make that mistake
again when checking in. If that had been me, I would have
requested a different building upon check in.

OKW was built in 2 phases. 11 to 29 were in the first phase, so when they started the second phase they must have received complaints about this and changed the design.

It's buildings over 30 that have the "seperate entrance to bath".
