Im looking for a suit....just kinda scoping things out....

Where do you all get yours? I need an underwire - so many of these suits I see dont have one.... the twins need support!!!

This will be my first year, in yearsssssss of not getting a 2 piece. I probably still could, but dont feel any innocent beach/pool goer should be subjected to that! :scared1:

Any suggestions for a big butted, big twin'd suit seeker?

Check Land's End they have a lot of variations and support levels. they have some nice 2 piecers that don't look like you need to be 22 to wear.

Land's End or LL Bean

I got one of the miracle suits last year from LE and the top was perfect, great support, but the bottom wasn't. So, I went to Target and bought a black bottom to go with.

I just bought one from Blair. (blair.com) Have you thought of a tankini with boy shorts?

I like the bathing suits from Lands End. They are a little pricey but they hold up their end of the deal. Every suit I have from there has lasted me for many years. Actually one of my favorite Lands Ends bathing suits just about bit the dust. After about 7 years I think it is begging for retirement.

I looked at Lands End - theyre cute!

Thanks all! I think I might just go with one of these babies. :thumbsup2

They are a bit pricey - but I generally dont buy a suit that often, at all....

Definately Lands End. Their suits are great and you can mix and match. I'm getting one for my Disney trip. :)

Another recommendation for Lands End.

I can't remember the last time I bought a bathing suit from somewhere else...has to have been at least 10 years

another vote for land's end. they last forever.

Land's End, L.L. Bean, and Eddie Bauer are all good places to start. I have also used a Janzten site as well with good results.

I'm always loking for a good underwire suit too...I do like the Land's End ones, but I've never bought any because I hate to order things like that without trying them on ~ our Sears only has a very limited selection to try on. How do their sizes run? How is their return policy?

I like shopping at Dillards because, they have sizes that actually fit me. Plus, I like mixing and matching the tankini tops & bottoms. Also, Frederick's of Hollywood and Victoria's Secret (though VS stopped carrying my band size) carry swimsuits by the bra size, which makes it so much easier to shop.

I wore underwire suits for a long time. Then I found a suit without wires and tried it on--and it was as supportive and a very flattering cut. Keep your options open, you might be surprised. I've had good luck finding suits at Penney's.

JCPenney's catalog. They had a great selection. My sister and I called them miracle suits! the swimsuit did all the pulling and pushing wherever ya need it most, and a lot of sizes available as well. (and reasonable $ too!) - my sister usually wears two-piece, but we read that the waterslides are better with the one piece, and that was true!

I've bought several suits from Newport News in the past few years, and I really like them. They have a TON to choose from, all different styles, and their prices are very reasonable.

For the person who asked about Land's End sizing, they run very true to their measurements. Their web site has great details on how to measure, etc.

In fact, if you look at their "Not quite Perfect" section, things often get there because they're not up to their measurement or color standards. It will say something like "The inseam on these pants was 1/2 inch too long. Not up to our standards, but we're offering it to you at a discount. And if you get it and it's not up to your standards, we'll take it back. No questions asked."

Can you tell I buy a LOT from Land's End???

Lands' End/LL Bean swimsuits only go up to certain sizes, so in one particular aspect they are actually too small for me. Lane Bryant's suits start too big, so I am stuck with either getting a cutsom-made suit or buying a MiracleSuit and *making* it fit.

agnes!

I have alwyas bought from Lands End. They may be more money but they last soooo long. They really look good after years of wearing - no pilling, fading, etc. My problem is I'm tired of their styles. They are all so similar and I want a change. I did get one from eddie Bauer that I love- last year though.

Looking for ideas too.

I'm the lone dissenter on Land's End. I've ordered from them 5 different times and each suit had to go back. The tops on the tankinis are just a tad too short and hit me in a bad spot. The bottoms just look bad. I know I'm 42 but I'm not ready to look matronly yet and they just make me look bad. Now, the models look very good in their swimsuits so maybe it's just me.

I do get the Victoria's Secret catalog and they have a few suits out with underwires and Miracle Bra tops. They look REALLY cute. They are definitely too "young" for me, but OP, I think you are probably a good age for them?
