Bathing Suits? Where do you get yours?

Miracle suit or Roxanne Rx fit. Both go bigger on top. Also found I need a long (tall) or tie top because of a long torso even though average height.
Both brands are expensive but can be found more affordably at T.J. Maxx, Marshalls or eBay.

Can I have the toll free number for that store. I would look absolutely HOT in that. Seriously, that's the kind of swimsuit I feel that suits me these days.

I know I'm 42 but I'm not ready to look matronly yet.

I do get the Victoria's Secret catalog and they have a few suits out with underwires and Miracle Bra tops. They look REALLY cute. They are definitely too "young" for me, but OP, I think you are probably a good age for them?

You're as young as you feel!! I'm MORE than 42 and have bought Victoria's Secret suits the last few years, exactly because I need the underwires and the tankinis. DH is not complaining :teeth:

Lands End has long torso suits...I still think Wholesome Wear is the way to go!

Sears carries Land's End in the stores, so you can try on before you buy. I got one there last season on a clearance. :thumbsup2

Here is my bathing suit story. We just returned from a vaction to Mexico. I searched several stores for a new bathing suit. I get one or two new ones a year. (sorry they just don't look good to me after wearing a whole season) so anyway, I got the J Crew catalog and saw a few I liked. We have a J Crew store nearby so I went there and tried one on and bought it. I was shocked I got a 2 piece being I just had my 2nd baby 6 months ago via c-section, but really it didn't look bad. I paid $70 for this plain old bikini! It was solid blue, nothing fancy. I liked it so much I ordered another one online as they had limited selection in the store. Catalog ordering is not for me. I had to bring the suit back. It was all wrong. So I went on vacation with the one bikini and it was fine as we were only there a few days. Well, a girl traveling with us (DH won the trip through work) had on an ADORABLE suit, a bikini, that I was sure cost an arm & leg. After a few pina coladas I told her I loved her suit and she told me she got it at TARGET for only $14.99 per piece. So, $30 for a fabulous bikini that was very flattering compared to my plain jane $$$ bikini....so I ran to Target yesterday and got that same bikini and the pieces were on sale for $12.99 a piece! I felt like I won the lottery. I am going back and getting more. They had a ton of cute suits!!!!

And here is the thing about underwire. I hate it. I avoid it at all costs and only will buy underwire bras. Bathing suits nowadays can and will lift those puppies without underwire. As my new friend with the cute bikini told me, when she goes bra shopping she goes to Victorias Secret and asks for size 36 LONG. :rotfl2: Well, this probably applies to anyone who had had children and/or has aged past their teen years....it certainly does apply to me. But this suit at Target lifts my longs far better than any underwire bra I've ever owned!

Good luck in your search for the suit. :wave2:

I like this one a lot better than the bright blue one on the other page.

Yes, the black is much more slimming. :rotfl:

I have 2 miracle suit tankinis which I love...Am contemplating another since I saw Eddie Bauer had new colors out. Spendy, but worth it.

My two best fitting suits are Esprit suits, I got them at Dillard's two summers ago, they are still doing well. strangely, they are bikinis...I never wore one until age 27, cause I could never find one to hold "the girls" up and in. The ones I got both have underwire and side panels to keep them in place, and they are halter style.

Dillard's always gets a nice selection...they should have gotten most of their suits in by now.
