We paid extra $$ for that garden tub and now all I ever do with it is clean it! It is right by where DH dries his hair and sprays his mountain of hairspray every morning, so you can imagine how much fun it is to clean!
Our house has a jacuzzi tub--I was so excited when we moved in. I've used it a grand total of once in the 18 months we've lived here. It takes forever to fill and I forgot how bored I get taking a bath.
After a particularly hectic day for me, dh will always offer to run a bath for me and bring me a beer. Bless his heart, I love him for thinking of it but I've only taken him up on it a couple of times since we've been married.
While I do take an occasional bath, the thing I do most with the bathtub is use the vacuum attachments to dust it everytime I clean the bathroom. I only "clean" it after I use it, but it collects dust and stray hair like crazy so I have to dust it regularly! I thought I would enjoy having a large bathtub seperate from the shower, but ...not so much.
showers every morning, and baths every night. I lOVE my baths, especially with something to read, a nice glass of wine, or cup of hot tea.
Gotta have the water super hot though! We have a big garden tub with the jets right now, but I really don't care for it that much.
In our new house we're putting in a nice deep claw foot tub.
Bath-every single night! So hot I look like I've been dipped in red paint. : As far as getting clean, well I take the whole dirty pan approach. When something is dirty it needs a good soak! That's why my kids usually take baths. Showers for them are a hit & miss sort of event with *miss* being the norm. Besides that fact that it's a good excuse for sitting down I am also usually freezing cold from Nov. - April and my bath of boiling water is the only way to thaw out!
I can't stand to take a bath. I still feel dirty afterwards, because the dirt doesn't go anywhere, it stays right up on you in the tub. it is just one of those things that make me go

Thats the way I feel...I even make my daughter stand up after her bath in dirt water and take a shower....I just don't feel she is clean after sitting in a tub of dirt water.
love baths, but our house has the most g*dawful uncomfortable tub on the planet, so I take showers. LOVE those big whirlpool tubs at the DVC resorts tho!!
