Bath Fitters - Reviews/Comments appreciated!

Has anyone ever used Bath Fitters to remodel a bathroom? Did you like the work? Has it held up over the years?

I live in an older building and my shower body needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, they need to break the wall and my bathroom has grey tiles on all four walls. The original tiles no longer exist. Of course, the wall with the shower can be patched with different tiles, but I don't want it to show.

So, any comments about Bath Fitters would be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I have never had any dealing with this particular company. I have had bathroom renovations done in my current home and past home and found good luck with local general contractors. Word of mouth is best in my opinion. We found two local contractors throught our real estate agent and I would be hard pressed to ever use anyone else. In fact we are getting ready to renovate our kitchen with them.

Any ideas about how not to end up replacing ALL of the tiles?

I have used Bath Fitters- they basically replaced a stand up shower in my upstairs bathroom, did a wonderful job, I would recommend them, I would just say they were expensive, but with some haggling we got the price down to reasonable.

I thought they did nice work.

For the quote we got from Bath Fitters we were able to have our bathroom gutted to the studs and redone. Granted this was 10 years ago & they may be more reasonable now.
