basketball at BLT?

Hi there! I am new here, and have a question that I am hoping someone out there knows the answer to.

We just bought our first set of DVC points at BLT, and during the slide show presentation both ds and I remember seeing and hearing mention of of a basketball court.

Now on the DVC website's resort comparison chart there is no basketball at BLT but the Disney website states, "Community Hall is located near the lobby entrance of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. At Community Hall, you can play ping-pong, foosball, video games, watch TV or participate in rainy day activities. You can also pick up equipment for basketball, bocce ball, tennis and shuffleboard."

So which website is right?

I haven't seen a basket ball court and I don't know if they would want to give up the real estate to put one in. I have seen tennis courts at other resorts and they are usually empty.

Just got back last Friday from BLT.

We never saw a basketball court, but maybe we missed it?

We did actually see the tennis courts (they were right outside our window) being used one time only.

BTW...loved BLT!! ..and my DS12 and his friend enjoyed the community hall.

I thought that I saw the basketball hoop included on the tennis courts when DW and I were there in May...I could be mistaken though.

Hmmm that could be. I will look thru my pictures and see what I find.

I just went on Google maps but I couldn't magnify enough to get a clear view of the tennis courts to see if my memory was correct.

There are sports courts at Kidani Village, including tennis and basketball. But I don't remember seeing any basketball court(s) at BLT when I visited in June.

which google maps have BLT - most only have the older CR north wing?

definitely don't remember seeing a basketball court or even the ring - so don't know.

do remember that at OKW they did not have one until the members requested it and it was made from some of the tennis court not being used.

at blt there is the area between it and CR that one could go in - don't expect an entire court - just (if anything) a half court.

dvc member site is not mentioning one - that I am seeing

both CR and BLT mention volleyball - but the community hall information is not mentioning it - do you think they say basketball when they mean volleyball?

guess you will just have to ask when you get there and come back and tell us.

I don't believe there is a basketball court at BLT. They have Bocce ball, tennis and shuffle board. I just double checked the map from when we stayed there this past Christamas and there is no mention of basketball courts. Sorry.
