Our toddler group does a carnival each year and as part of it, each class creates a basket to raffle off. Our class has the Curious George theme, and obviously people have come up with a lot of typical stuff (the movies, dolls etc) but I wondered if anyone had any ideas that would be cool (i.e. worth buying a raffle ticket), but still themed.

The one idea I had was a gift adoption at our local zoo for one of the monkeys, but that was the extent of my "out of the box" thinking.

I'm not sure that an adoption of an animal would "do it for me" as far as basket raffles...but jumping off your idea...what about an annual family membership for the zoo? Back when DD was that age, we purchased a family pass every year, so that is one thing I would put a ticket in for.

Years ago when Marshall Fields still existed I think 8 years ago, they had a special section in the main downtown location with a huge Curious George section.

I would check ebay to see if any of the stuff is available.

Also don't forget the main in the yellow hat, if there was an adult costume in the basket my husband would bid for sure.

There was a CD when the movie came out a couple of years ago.

You could even do some fun banana themed items.

Curious George was doing a live stage show, maybe tickets to that? Not sure if he's coming to your area or not, but they weren't too expensive. For the banana theme they have a funny game called "Bananagrams" that comes in a little purse that looks like a banana. It was a hit with my niece.
