We got a postcard in the mail today...Barry Manilow is gonna be at the American Airline Center in November. DH said he'd think about getting us tix, since Nov is a tough time of year for us in the retail world. But I wanna go..so bad! *drools*

I saw him about a year ago. He was excellent. And he performed while battling bronchitis too - he even took several "Kleenex" breaks. That nose of his requires ALOT of Kleenex.

Despite his illness, he was great. You'll love him.

A tip to anyone thinking of going to this show: the stage is in the round, and it's rather tall...sitting in the first section off the floor will give you a much better view than floor seats. We saw the Vegas show, and from about the 12th row or so. It wasn't a bad seat, but when he was on the other side of the stage, he nearly disappeared.

We saw him in concert two years ago at the Starplex..I mean the Smirnoff (yes..the vodka people!) Music Center when he was promoting the "At the Mayflower" and "Ultimate Manilow" CDs. Shortly after DS was born, DH bought me "2 Nights Live" as a gift. We don't know if we're going to get to go yet, but I really hope we do. It'll be so much fun. Last time, we had like 7th row right hand side floor seats (which are MUCh better than lawn seats at Starplex let me tell you). It was so much and getting to leave was almost as fun as the concert what with all the gay men dressed to the nines with yellow feathers tied in their hair and stuff. Some of them were very, very drunk by the end of the concert and there's no better entertainment (I think) than watching drunk people because they get so
