I'm getting sick of hear him reaching 714 then eventually Aaron's record.
He did it on drugs !!!!
Funny howm this season he hasn't hit as many as previous.
hmmm. I wonder why

for the record they could take McGuire's record out too.

Well, 715 isn't a record, is it? And Hank Aaron may own the record, but IMO Babe Ruth is THE GREATEST HR hitter ever!

Babe had 2000 LESS At Bats than Hank. And he did it in an era where team HR leaders were hitting 15 HRs. In one year, Babe had more HR's that 2 TEAMS combined. The year he hit 60, the next highest guy had less than 20.

Imagine if he was actually SOBER or not HUNGOVER! :rotfl2:

Barry Bonds is a FRAUD. Hank Aaron was the real deal. Babe Ruth was "the MAN".

You couldn't have said better :thumbsup2

Yeah, I could have! :) I could have mentioned how much bigger the parks were then ( deeper fences ). I could have mentioned that the balls in those days were not as tightly wound, and thus travelled shorther distances. I could have mentioned that even baseball bats are "harder" today, and make the balls travel further.

I could have mentioned that in today's 32 team MLB, about 30% of today's pitchers would not even have been able to pitch in the MLB in the Babe's time, when a GOOD ERA was under 3.00. Today, anything under 4.5 ERA is considered good. Dilution of baseball to 32 teams means that you have many more bad pitchers in baseball.

I could have mentioned that back in the day, it was WAY MORE LIKELY for a pitcher to complete a game. Some times pitchers even pitched DOUBLEHEADERS. And they pitched on 3 days rest. Why? Because they could actually PITCH!

4.5 ERA..... how lame is that?

OK, now, I can't say it any better! :lmao:

After the stink the Baseball Commissioner made in 1961 over Roger Maris' single season record, I can't believe that today nothing is being done over these illegally attained records.

I mean, they made a point of making sure everyone knew it took Roger more games to beat 60 HR's in a single season than the Babe. Now it's okay to take steroids to break records and no one bats an eye.

Bonds and McGuire are both frauds and unworthy of any records.

Those Philadelphia fans are tough! Here's how they saluted Barry this weekend:

Not sure why a link is posting instead of the picture, but it shows the left field fans unfurling a huge banner that says "Ruth did it on hot dogs & beer" :rotfl2:

I would love to see Bonds walked on every at bat for the rest of the season.... :lmao:

Yeah - but he's our "bum".

I gotta believe that if he played most of his career in NY, NY fans would be behind him...if he played in LA, those fans would be behind him!! (get my drift?)

and he IS 40 - he won't be hitting 40 HRs this season. and yeah...keep walking him...wouldn't want him to proove ya all wrong.

Not true. when we found out Giambi was on drugs. He got booed and the papers trashed him.
The cheer he gets now, is because he's doing good and he's clean.

I love the banners Philly had for him :lmao:

I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning, and the morning host had a pretty good analogy of how MLB is reacting to BB's chase of Ruth and Aaron. He said it was sort of like when a co-worker that no one likes gets a huge sale, promotion, whatever. There has to be some sort of celebration, although absolutely no one wants to take part. MLB is sort of in that position now with BB's chase of Ruth and Aaron. They have to provide some sort of celebration if/when Bonds gets near 755, but it sure won't be enthusiastic. It's amazing how thoroughly unlikable BB is. His whining about how tough all the media/fan treatment is sure doesn't make him any more likable.

Obviously, he'll pass Ruth in the next week or so, but I honestly don't know if he'll be able to surpass Aaron. Well, I hope he doesn't anyway.

About the pic of the sign saying "The Babe did it with hot dogs & beer", I heard there was another sign, or the same sign, that read "and Hank Aaron did it with class". That's definitely something you can't say about Barry Bonds.

Have no use for these record breakers...Bonds or MacGuire....I could care less...and trying to watch a televised game the other evening, and they kept cutting away to show Bonds' at bat  I was like WHO CARES...he is so arrogant its pathetic. And now not signing the ball for that guy...but cheeses for a photo........blech

If you watch 61 and see what they did to Maris, then let these guys who have in essence cheated to break records, it makes you mad :furious:
