barking dogs issue with neighbor

:rotfl2: thats my dog too! He'd lick them and demand a belly rub. He'd probably even help carry loot to the thieves car!

DH and I joke that our Piper would look at the robbers and go "Hey, you see that jar of peanut butter right there? If you could open it and put it on the floor, then get the doggie ice creams out of the freezer and open those and put 'em with the peanut butter, I will let you take the tv and computers. Throw in that bacon that's just chilling in the fridge and you can get the jewelry too. If you find master's steak for me, you can even have the cats. Ok, I'll throw in the cats without the steak, but still...."

op you did the right thing. I would take it further and write a note to the owner. call the cops everytime they bark during the night.

we had neighbors in front of my parents house that would let their dogs out. they would bark all day and all night. we called the non emergency line more than once and they were ticketed. other neighbors called too.

I am a huge dog lover and I would be embarrassed that my dogs were making that much noise. the neighbors never once apologized.

so again you did the right thing...

:rotfl2: :lmao: So funny! YES this is my dog too. Give him food, esp bacon, and you can have the whole house PLUS the cat! :rotfl: Better yet, walk in with a pound of bacon and a vacuum, and you wont have any trouble with the dog at all while youre in the house LOL!

If it were 11am or 5pm and my dog was barking outside for a few minutes, I wouldn't think much of it (although anything beyond 5 minutes is too much, IMO) but anything after say 8pm or 9pm and before say 7am is completely rude. The owner of the dogs should be considerate enough to chaperone the dogs while they do their business during these overnight hours and discipline them when/if they start barking. Let them do their business and then come inside. No need for prolonged barking during the wee hours of the morning.

A. The dogs in the OP's complaint were inside, not outside when they barked at night.
B. The dogs barked during the night ONCE a year ago, or at least a winter and a summer have passed since the dogs barked ONCE while inside their house.

without knowing them well, I would not make that assumption at all. Even if they talk all the time, she could have forgotten. I don't think you can assume the son knows there is a problem unless you have spoken with him directly.
:thumbsup2

I especially wouldn't assume the message would get to the owner after the Mother laughed off my complaint off by saying "They drive me crazy too." That pretty much tells you she doesn't see it as a problem and that you wouldn't be able to trust that the Mother would pass the message on.

Guess I was reading too fast. Why is it even a complaint if the dogs are inside? :confused3

We own the barking crazy dog. Its real chore to calm her down.

Its not from lack of exercise, or boredom. Its mostly her hunting drive.

Between the hour before/after sunset when all the bunnies are out, our dog needs a chill pill.

Nebor call the police for her barking one time but it was in the middle of the night and there was a deer bedded down in the back yard, I was passed out on cold meds , no one else was home.

Poor nebor came over after the police left to see if I was ok and find out what happen.
