We took the DCL transfers.Hi! Any previous cruisers out of Barcelona have a recommendation for traveling to port from the airport? Thanks![]()
Agree. There are no hotels in walking distance to the Barcelona cruise terminal. The road to the terminal is not easy for walking so
it's best to take a taxi. Options from the Barcelona airport : either a taxi or take the DCL transfer. I would just take a taxi as
that is cheaper than DCL transfer.
Staying near the Ramblas is good, it is only a short taxi drive to the cruise terminal.

Very true. It's actually a very, very long walk from the main road over a bridge and down the piers. Nevertheless, we saw some people doing it with luggage in tow. Not sure where they came from, but I was glad to be in a taxi. The taxi was a reasonable cost especially when you consider the amount of luggage you are bringing for a ~12 day cruise. I'd recommend using Google Maps to get a feel for how far you'd have to walk from the closest hotel. I believe it's around 1.5 miles...
Just getting ideas since we booked a cruise leaving out of Barcelona next summer. We are planning to spend 3 or 4 night in the city before we get on the ship.
Do book near the centre IE Placa Catalunya and not the DCL hotels to the East of the City a long way out.
Hotel Jazz was fantastic, location and great rooms.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't even started to look at next summer. As soon as we get back from the Baltic, then I will start planning.![]()
