Emma, your pictures look exactly like what my place looked like the week before the wedding/honeymoon! Such excitement!

Hi Nikki! yes everything in our house seems to be wedding/honeymoon related at the moment.. love it!

Our smallest bedroom/study is filled with boxes ready to take to the hotel on Thursday..

Once I've taken all of these to the hotel, I can open up the suitcases in there and start packing properly!

Yay for only 2 more days of work! I'm down to 3 and just hoping I can get everything accomplished by then! It seems like I still have so much left to do there. Friday seems so far away right now!

Rain is being predicted here, too Saturday. Hopefully we'll both get some pixie dust and have great weather!

I will wish for sunshine for you guys on Saturday too! the forecast is improving a bit.. although every weather website seems to give a different prediction lol - the weather changes so quickly here that I don't think it'll be accurate until Friday! .. the last two days have been very warm & sunny, so I'm hoping that'll continue.. I know the weather doesn't really matter - no way of controlling it any way!

Thank you! - they were from a shop here called Boots (like Walgreens?), it was a gift range they did for Christmas.. DF bought them for me so I saved them for the honeymoon! One was a nail kit, one make up brushes, and the other is a pink blusher with a large brush




Not much to report today... I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned (sparkly for the big day now!) - long day at work.. and did a little more on my scrapbook for Dec'10 trip.. really wanted it finished before the wedding & honeymoon but I don't think that's going to happen now

It's looking like that here, too! Most of my projects are being done at my grandparents house since my grandmother has lots of craft stuff and they live next door. Their dining room is covered in boxes! We've got all the presents (taking up the whole dining room!) and the suitcases in the guest bedroom at our house. So exciting!

Hi everyone!


Well I've officially finished work as a 'Miss'.. and won't be back there for 3 whole weeks!

My colleagues surprised me with a presentation yesterday!! Everyone gathered around my desk & my line manager gave a little speech & wished me luck with the wedding ... he said "anyone who knows Emma knows she loves two things... Disney and the colour pink" !! - he said I was going to 'Disneyland' on honeymoon, which wasn't right.. but I let it slide
I was given a huge card that everyone had signed, two beautiful glass photo frames & a gift voucher!! I was really touched, never thought I'd get anything from work

Last night, I took the cake topper to our cake maker - and later in the evening I started packing our bags for the weekend (DF needs a bag to take to his parents' house on Friday, and we need an overnight bag for Saturday at the hotel!) .. which all has to be kept separate from honeymoon packing.. so much to think through!

Today - so far, I've been to the gym & popped to the supermarket, then I loaded up the car with wedding decorations, favours, sweets etc to take to our hotel

Unfortunately the sky did not look like that when I arrived.. we have had a Floridian-style rain storm all morning here! - but the hotel staff were fantastic, they insisted I stayed in the lobby while some of the porters carried all of the boxes from my car to the hotel ... I then spoke to the events manager, explained a few of the boxes and where things needed to go.. then headed off to pick up DF's sister - and we went to pick up the men's suits!

There were no problems at the suit shop, the man let us check each suit had all of the correct accessories & was in the right colours (the shop was very busy as it is Royal Ascot horse-racing this weekend!) .. so the suits are now at DF's parents house (where he & the groomsmen will be getting ready on Saturday morning)

I've come home & opened up the suitcases, ready to start packing them.. and had some lunch..

(I saw this in the supermarket this morning & couldn't resist, how appropriate!)

This afternoon I have my haircut & highlights redone... and later this evening DF and I are going out on our last 'date night' as an unmarried couple!


Btw - the sun is now shining & the sky is blue?! really have no idea what it'll be like on Saturday but I'm sure it won't matter - the hotel still looked beautiful today in the pouring rain!!


These are my plans for tomorrow & Saturday (not sure I'll have much time to write much more now!!)

Friday
... going to the gym, one last workout - think all the exercise has been worth it and a wedding/honeymoon is the best motivator!
Home to do a few chores (always like to clean the house before going away lol), then my sister is arriving - and my parents are coming over for lunch before they head to the hotel to check in.. then I'm having my nails done & a pedicure... my cousin & her husband will arrive about 5pm - he & DF will head off to his parents' house (and that'll be the last time we see each other until 2pm Saturday!!!) .... then my sister, cousin & I are having a girl's night in... dinner, sweets, pink champagne and movies

(champagne is ready & chilling in the fridge!)

Saturday
THE WEDDING!!
I'm going to get up about 7.30am and head to Starbucks (there's one about 10 mins drive away!) and get coffees & breakfast for the bridesmaids and me, also buy a newspaper with the date on it
DS or DC will pick up the other bridesmaid (I can't do it as she'll be in the same house as DF and he might see me hehe!) - we'll have breakfast, pack up the cars & head to the hotel!

We have a hotel room booked to get ready in, it should be the bride & groom suite

The lady is coming to do my hair & makeup and my Mum's hair from 11am, I'm going to give out gifts to the bridesmaids & my Mum ... the flowers & photographer should arrive about 12pm, and DF's older sister will bring our flower girl to get ready with us/have photos taken.

The toast master will come to meet us about 1pm, then he'll go find Steve & the best man & ushers .. help them greet guests as they arrive

At 1.45pm.. the toast master will make sure all our guests are seated in the ceremony room... I will meet with the registrar (they have to ask DF & I questions individually to check we still want to get married!) ... then

WE GET MARRIED!!

Afterwards, we're having Pimms & canapes on the terrace & in the lounge bar, while the photos are taken.

About 4.30pm, we'll have our wedding breakfast, I can't wait to see the room all decorated - and see our guests' reactions to the favours!
We're having the speeches & toast before the meal, get them out the way so that DF, my Dad & the best man can all relax!

About 6.30pm, we'll cut the cake top tier(also can't wait to see that! 7 tiers of cupcakes?!) - and we'll leave the reception room while they rearrange it for the evening; make room for the dance floor, entertainment & buffet.

Evening guests are arriving from about 7.30pm.. and the party will go on until 1am!


... think that's about it?! I'm sure you can all tell I'm beyond excited.. this is actually happening - I've loved every minute of the planning & can't wait to become Steve's wife

and, what do you do after you've married the love of your life?!

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!
