Banking Transferred Points

Do I have to call MS to do this? They are same resort and UY as what I own so I have been able to book with them online. When I tried to bank online though it did not include them in the total.

Any insight is appreciated!

You will have to call, as the points are not one of your owned contracts. I'm actually surprised you could book reservations with them online, and not have to call.

Thanks for this thread! I called earlier this morning to bank transferred points and was told transferred points couldn't be banked. I came here to see if that was true, and saw this thread started just yesterday! I called back, got someone else and now they are banked.

I'm actually surprised you could book reservations with them online, and not have to call.

It worked because the points are the same resort and UY that the OP owns. In that case MS has a place in the member's account to deposit the transferred points, allowing the member to see and use them.

Re: the banking issue, there is probably some code in the banking software that limits the number of points that can be banked to one year's worth, preventing them from being banked online. MS should be able to work around that.

Thank you! The issue is I only have 7 of my points to bank but about 70 transferred. I'd much rather bank then try to reallocate my January trip. Reallocation makes me nervous! Calling Tuesday and will update.

Called today and was told I should have been able to bank them online. MS could not bank them either. She had to call her supervisor who did an override. It appeared to her that the points had already been banked. I pointed out that they were transferred in January and that one could not transfer banked points. She agreed it was weird and supervisor took care of it.

Good to know that you should have been able to bank them. Sounds like there was some kind of glitch. Glad to hear MS was able to fix the problem.
