Banking transferred points

Say I own BCV, but I don't have enough points for a week in Dec '06 (even with borrowing '07 points). I can borrow OKW ('06) from someone, but from what I understand, I'd have to wait until June to use those points. Since Dec is a popular month, I could get what I want in Jan , but might not in June .

If I can't get what I want in Dec '06, I'll bank the points and go somewhere else . Here's my question...Can I bank both the '06 BCV and OKW points and use them BOTH in Jan '07 for a Dec '07 BCV trip?

your first problem will be were you want to stay and use the 11 month booking. since you own at the bcv, you can book 11 months out with only the bcv points. okw points you will have to wait until the 7 month booking. even if you get a transfer of points the points remain okw points not bcv points.
If you want to stay at the bcv and book 11 months then rent points from a member that has bcv points. If you were only interested in booking your resort at the 7 month then it doesnt matter if you own bcv points or rented okw points. as far as the banking, lets say the bcv points are sept. 06 and okw are aug. 06. as long as you bank the points before or in the banking month to bank 100% of the points. you will then be able to make a ressie at the 11 month window arriving after your use year month (sept.) 07. That is when official you get your points back. and for okw aug. 07 points will have to be used before bcv aug.30 08 & okw july 31 08 or you will loose the points and they cannot be banked again. Just remember you can only book bcv using bcv points at the 11 month and okw points at okw at the 11 month.
try to rent points from were you want to stay to get the 11 month booking advantage for the holidays.

Your response makes sense to me. Reading some of the other threads, there seems to be a confusion if transferred points retain their "home" resort or if they take on the "transferee" resort.
