We just made it thru ROFR and we're waiting for our contracts. We wanted to only buy 100 points thinking that we'll probably just go every other year (as we have been doing these last few years paying cash). Now that I have points though, all of the sudden I'm thinking about multiple trips each year, so I'm already thinking about an add-on.
I bought at SSR, but I would also like to own at AKL since it sounds like it'll be tough to get in there at 7 months. I've learned (from this board) that you only get the 11 month priority for the number of points you have for that resort. But what if we do skip a year and bank the points... are the points still considered separate for each resort or can they all be applied for one of the resorts at the 11 month window then? I guess what I'm asking is will the banked points be in one big pot or will I just have two years worth of points for each separate resort and will thus still be limited to the 7 month window?
Also, I've been reading about the incentives for the big buys... do they ever offer incentives for smaller points, say 50 to 100?
Thanks for all the advice... I've been casually lurking here for quite awhile and we just took the plunge after hearing everyone's experiences!
